FLINTON — The Glendale softball team batted around in both the third and fourth innings Thursday against visiting Moshannon Valley, scoring 16 runs in the two frames on the way to an 18-3 victory.


FLINTON — Curwensville’s Jake Mullins had a perfect game going through three innings against Glendale on Wednesday afternoon.

HYDE — The Clearfield baseball team had to settle for a 5-5 tie against visiting Indiana Friday evening at the Bison Complex as the game was called due to darkness at the completion of the seventh inning.

CURWENSVILLE — Throughout the early innings of Thursday’s varsity baseball game between the Elk County Catholic Crusaders and the Curwensville Golden Tide, quite the pitching duel was shaping up between Crusader Mark Kraus and Curwensville’s Shane Sunderlin.


PHILIPSBURG — After Clearfield took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning on an RBI double by Cole Bloom, it looked like it might be a close one against Philipsburg-Osceola.


HOUTZDALE — The Moshannon Valley baseball team welcomes back 11 letterwinners for the 2021 season including four in senior Michael Kephart and juniors Kadin Hansel, Michael Kitko and Ethan Webb, who also lettered going into the 2020 campaign that was wiped out by the pandemic.

HYDE — Like all other spring sports, the Clearfield boys tennis team lost its season in 2020 due to COVID-19. The Bison were set up with a lot of depth last year with 13 players on the roster, but unfortunately not everyone came back out this season.

ALLPORT — The West Branch softball team fell behind visiting Mount Union early and couldn’t catch back up, falling 10-4 on Tuesday afternoon.
