Dear Editor,

Currently in Pennsylvania and America, a myth is being sold to rural communities: The myth that we can stop the clock and turn it back, Pete Buttigieg believes “They’re selling an impossible promise of returning to a bygone era that was never as great as advertised. Having a President that understands the issue of communities fighting to stay alive, would only help area’s such as ours.

Buttigieg, is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan, a multilingual Harvard graduate, a Rhodes Scholar, and, speaks to not only Democrat’s, but has major support from Independent’s and Republican’s across America’s rural communities.

Having a President for once that isn’t a millionaire, isn’t a celebrity, and is one of us, would be a refreshing change.

Pete stands firm on providing quality medical care thru a just Insurance reform that would include a Medicare for All policy, if you should choose. His understanding of economics and our economy reaches beyond taxing the middle class, and calls for those who are wealthy and are currently under paying their fair share to do so. As a U.S. Veteran, Pete supports the second amendment, but also says, “I did not carry an assault weapon around a foreign country so I could come home and see them used to massacre my countrymen,” and later clarified, “If this came out wrong, forgive me. Just expressing one war vet’s hurt at seeing weapons of war used on peaceful Americans here at home.”
