KARTHAUS — Geary Hugar, 68, of Karthaus, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 14, 2019 at his residence.
Born, June 20, 1950, in Clearfield, he was the son of the late Kenneth Sr. and Helen (Bingaman) Hugar.
His companion of 49 years was Connie Jackson, who survives at home in Karthaus.
Along with his companion, he is survived by his sons, Rickie Hugar of Karthaus, and Geary Hugar, Jr. (DJ) and companion Megan Shuey of Karthaus; grandchildren, Coral, Zachary and Korrine Bainey, and Harper and Weston Hugar; and a great-granddaughter, Amara Wills.
He is also survived by his siblings, Kenneth Hugar, Jr. of Keewaydin, Thomas Hugar and wife Joyce of Clearfield, and Darlene McGonigal Clark and husband Jim of Pottersdale.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Carol Hugar; and a daughter, Wendy Hugar (Sis).
Geary was affiliated with the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Karthaus and he had worked for River Hill Coal Company, Karthaus. He loved going to camp and NASCAR racing.
There will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be private.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to charity of the donor’s choice.
