OSCEOLA MILLS — Beverly Jean Yarger, 87, of Osceola Mills, passed away early Friday morning, Jan. 12, 2018 at home with her daughter by her side.

Born Feb. 17, 1930 in Woodward Township, Houtzdale, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Vergie (Albright) Kephart.

Jean was a member of the Sanborn Grange and the Ohio United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping and being with her family and grandchildren.

She worked at Sylvania and Navasky’s sewing factory in Osceola Mills.

On April 12, 1947 at West Decatur, she wed Kenneth E Yarger, who preceded her in death on March 4, 2012.

She is survived by three sons, Larry Yarger and his wife Nancy of Houtzdale, Gary Yarger and his wife Dee of Osceola Mills, Dale Yarger and his wife Sue of Houtzdale; and a daughter, Barbara D. Milliron and her husband Chip of Osceola Mills.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, a sister, a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter. Jean was the last of her generation.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale with Pastor Michelle Bodle officiating.

Interment will follow at the Sanborn Cemetery.

Friends will be received Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
