State Police at Clearfield

On June 11 at 10:20 a.m., it was reported to PSP that a fuel can was stolen from a Sixth Street, Morris Township residence. A 69-year-old Hawk Run female related that two males on a four-wheeler stopped in front of her residence. The male on the back of the four-wheeler dismounted, ran up to the side of her house taking a red gas can, then ran back to the four-wheeler, jumped on and then fled the scene. The two males were wearing full face helmets and could no be identified. The female related that the one helmet was black and had white stripes and had a fire or lightning design on it. Anyone with any information relating to this incident is asked to contact PSP Clearfield at 857-3800.

On June 5 at 10:30 a.m., PSP were called to investigate a terroristic threat incident at 600 Sue St., Houtzdale Borough. This incident occurred as James Lockett, 35, of Olanta, made threatening comments to “blow up” the Clearfield County Child and Youth Services Building. Lockett fled the scene prior to police arrival. An arrest warrant was obtained for Lockett. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Lockett is strongly encouraged to contact PSP Clearfield at 857-3800.

On June 11 at 7:45 a.m., it was reported to police that a four-wheeler was stolen from a Surveyor Road, Girard Township residence. The four-wheeler is a 1996 Yamaha Warrior YFM, red with grey fenders and blue handle bars. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact PSP Clearfield at 857-3800.

On June 10 at 9:15 p.m., Troopers from PSP Clearfield attempted to make a traffic strop for several traffic violations on I-80 E. in the area of mile marker 121, Bradford Township, Clearfield County. During which, Ching Yam Yeung refused to stop and fled eastbound at a high rate of speed. The subsequent pursuit with Yeung continued for approximately 30 miles. During which, Troopers from PSP Rockview barracks assisted by successfully deploying spike strips partially disabling Yeung’s vehicle. While continuing East, Yeung struck a second traveling motorist, failed to stop, then intentionally struck a marked PSP patrol vehicle. Yeung’s vehicle was brought to a controlled stop by legal intervention near mile marker 151, Boggs Township, Centre County, where Yeung was taken into custody without further incident. Yeung was transported to and placed in the Clearfield County Jail for arraignment.

Lawrence Township

Police were summoned Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., to the McDonalds restaurant located along S. Second Street in Lawrence Township, Clearfield County on a report of a crash in their parking lot. Upon arrival it was discovered that a 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada driven by Gary E. Bonsall, 73, of Grampian, had driven through the handicapped stall and struck the building. Bonsall was not injured, however the building suffered moderate damage to the brick casing and interior wall. Bonsall will be cited.

State Police at Rockview

PSP responded to a crash on Monday at 3:15 a.m. in College Township, Centre County. This crash occurred as a 2007 Honda Accord driven by a 53-year-old State College female, was traveling South, in the left lane, when for unknown reasons exited its lane of travel to the left, crossing the grass median. The Honda struck a 2011 Ford F250 driven by a 49-year-old Julian male, which was traveling North, in the right lane of I-99. This impact caused the Honda to spin across I-99 North then came to final rest on the road side. The Ford spun 180 degrees, coming to final rest facing South, partially blocking the left lane of I-99 North. The operator of the Honda sustained moderate injury and was transported to Mount Nittany. The operator of the Ford was uninjured. Both vehicles needed towed from the scene. Police was assisted on scene by Life Link EMS, Alpha Fire Company, and PennDOT. I-99 North was partially closed for about three hours. Anyone who witnessed the events leading to this crash should contact PSP Rockview at 355-7545.
