Police were called to Penn Highlands Clearfield to assist staff with a male patient who was being disorderly and aggressive. Police were able to calm the patient down.

Police are investigating an act of trespassing, burglary and theft. An unknown person(s) had entered a closed garage and removed a chain saw. Investigation continues.

Police responded to and East Street residence for a report of a domestic situation. Upon police investigation, it was learned the neighbor had engaged in a verbal confrontation. Police handled at the scene.

Police assisted a motorist who locked their keys in their vehicle at a local business.

Police handled a harassment complaint from a Windy Hill address. Upon investigation, the harassment was unfounded.

Police responded to the area of State Street and Spila Road for a report of kids riding their bicycles in and out of traffic. Upon police arrival, the kids had fled the area.

Police receive a report of a man passed out at a pavilion at Irvin Park. Upon police arrival, the male was located and found to be sleeping. The male was waiting for the rain to stop so he could continue to his destination.

Police assisted Lawrence Township Police with a warrant in Glen Richey area. The known male was taken into custody by Lawrence Township Police and later learned the male had an outstanding warrant through Curwensville Borough Police.

State Police at DuBois

PSP responded to a crash on Wednesday at 5:37 p.m. in Washington Township, Jefferson County. This crash occurred as a 2015 Freightliner CA1 driven by Varkis Avanesian, 66, of Paramus N.J., made an unsafe merge onto I-80 W in front of a 2009 Kenworth driven by Rodion Topchii, 22, of Kirkland Wash., near mile marker 88. Avanesian merged onto I80 W from the stop sign located on the rest area’s ramp merging traffic back onto I80s westbound left lane. Topchii veered off the roadway and overturned to avoid striking Avanesian. Topchii was treated for minor injuries on scene by Jefferson Co. EMS. Pine Creek VFD assisted.

PSP responded to a crash on Friday at 9 a.m. in Washington Township, Jefferson County. This crash occurred as a 2015 Dodge Journey driven by Jerlyn T. Joseph, 41, of Brooklen N.Y., was traveling west in the left lane on I-80 W. Joseph for unknown reasons lost control causing his Dodge to cross the right lane and travel off the right side of the roadway striking small trees. Joseph then overturned onto its side coming to a final rest. Joseph and his four passengers, including three minors, were transported to Penn Highlands DuBois by DuBois EMS for suspected minor injuries.

False alarm at CNB Bank

A 26-year-old Hanes Drive woman reported that her estranged partner continues to drive by her residence. She feels he is trying to intimidate her because the two are going through a custody situation.

June 12

False alarm at a Treasure Lake residence.

An employee of the VA Center found a large amount of money in the parking lot. She turned the money over to police. The owner of the money came forward and recovered the entire amount he lost.

Officers responded to a Hetrick Road residence for a reported domestic disturbance. A third party reported a 34-year-old woman and her 45-year-old boyfriend apparently got into a verbal argument that escalated, each blaming the other for the disagreement. Officers handled the situation without incident.

June 13

A vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Treasure Lake man failed to stop before hitting a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old Rockton woman while stopped at a light at Shaffer Road and Bee Line Highway. Minor damage and no injuries reported.
