All-Mopar event held at Clearfield
Friday, September 5, 2014

On Aug. 9, 71 Mopars filled the Clearfield Driving Park. The event was a success and there was much to see and do. Items were collected and donated to Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic, thanks to the registrants.
Following the event, many attendees "cruised" through the streets of Clearfield, en route to Old Town Road Dairy, via an escort by Clearfield Borough Police Department.
A patriotic ceremony was held at noon, provided by Boy Scout Troop No. 2 of Clearfield.
In addition to the cars on display, there were a few special displays, including the "Daughter of Darkness," owned by Scott and Judy Davis of Clearfield.
The 50/50 winner, courtesy of Old Town Sportsmen's Club, was Chris Bopp of St. Benedict.
Music was provided by DJ Dave Duke, sponsored by Allstate Insurance - Dave Glass.
Special awards/trophies given included People's Choice, Glenn Ray of Tyrone, 1955 Chrysler Imperial; Owner's Choice, Jeff Roberts of Bellefonte, custom 1968 Dodge Power Wagon; Club Choice, Jim Thomas of Morrisdale, 1972 Dodge Demon; and Mayor's Choice, Bill Overcash of Claysburg, 1970 Plymouth Superbird.
Three memorial awards were presented including Bill Morgan Memorial Trophy, Mark, Kristin, Dean and Claire Coudriet of Curwensville, 1976 Plymouth Feather Duster; Art Bowes Memorial Trophy, Bob Ward of Falls Creek, 1948 Dodge; and Jane Allen-Diehl Memorial Trophy, Glenn Sorg of St. Marys, 1965 Plymouth Satellite.
The event was made possible thanks to the following sponsors: Mike's Auto Repair; C Classic Dodge/Ram/Chrysler/Jeep; A.J. Ross Jr. Towing & Recovery; Reich Drill; CNB Bank; and Caroline's Auto Detailing.
Organizers thank Old Town Road Dairy for ice cream donations, Clearfield Borough Police Department, Clearfield Borough Council and Mayor Jim Schell for their continued participation and support, as well as the Clearfield County Fair & Park Board.
Show/Club volunteers donated many hours of their time and organizers thank Mike and Marlene Moore, Roger and Sue Elensky, Elvis and Dealyn Taylor, Barry and Peggy Angstadt and family, Monte and Debbie Rosentrater, Jesse and Karan Stiles, J.R. McCracken, Suzanne Rumfola, Patty Lingle, Cheryl Clark, Butch and MaryKay Leidhecker, and Jeff and Tina Luzier and family.
Next year's event will take place Aug. 15, with the same location and time.
