Weekend Events is a weekly feature of The Progress published to alert readers about events planned by nonprofit organizations or events that benefit the community. All events are open to the public. The following events are planned this weekend in Progressland.

Grampian Church of God will host a free dinner Friday from 4:30-7 p.m. at the church's social hall. Everyone is welcome.
The flea market will be held in the North Third Street parking lot across from Chubby's Dry Cleaners and Zalno Jewelers Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Available at the market will be farm produce, flea market items, crafts, sewing material and choices for lunch. If you want to be a vendor, there are a few spaces left; call 762-6430 to make a reservation.
West Decatur Sportsman's will be holding an archery scramble Sunday at 10 a.m. The price is $10 per person. Men, women and children are welcome.
A fireworks show will be presented at Curwensville Lake Recreation Area Sunday at 9 a.m. The rain date is Monday night. The cost to enter the recreation area is $3 per car or $5 with a boat.
The first-ever Curwensville Moose Riders Motorcycle Show will be held Sunday at Curwensville Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 268. The event will be held rain or shine. Registration is from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be three awarded trophies per class. All classes will be judged by independent judges. There will be free overnight camping available and live entertainment. A chicken barbecue will be held.
Class 1 is American motorcycles; Class 2, all trikes; Class 3, custom motorcycles; Class 4, dressers; Class 5, import motorcycles; and Class 6, antique motorcycles. Also a people's choice award will be given. For more information, contact Charlie Peters at 577-5425.
To have an event included, submit the information in writing to any office of The Progress by noon Tuesday. Late submissions will not be published, nor will submissions that do not include a contact person and daytime telephone number.
The Progress does not include bingo, club events that are limited to members and guests only, or yard sales or flea markets by private individuals in the Weekend Events section.
