Cherry presides at plea and sentencing

Clearfield County Judge Paul E. Cherry presided over a special session of plea and sentencing court Friday.
• Michelle Mongelli, 56, Hyde, was placed on two years' probation on charges of defiant trespass and disorderly conduct. She was fined $200, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, attend counseling as recommended by her probation officer, and have no contact with the victim or family.
On a second case of disorderly conduct, Mongelli received a $100 fine and was placed on one-year concurrent probation.
• Susan Richards, 48, DuBois, was ordered to serve 15 days to one year in Clearfield County Jail in addition to two years' concurrent probation on charges of escape and default and required appearances. Richards was fined $200, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol and attend counseling as recommended by her probation officer.
• William Smith, 19, 910 S. Gate Drive, State College, was ordered to serve 60 days to one year in CCJ in addition to one-year consecutive probation on charges of forgery and criminal attempt/acquisition of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, specifically oxycodone. He was fined $300, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, not own narcotics or prescriptions for narcotics without first receiving written permission of his probation officer, complete drug and alcohol counseling and submit to DNA testing at a cost of $250.
