CCIDA discusses loans in executive session
Friday, May 24, 2013
By Wendy Lynn Brion Staff Writer The Clearfield County Industrial Development Authority met yesterday and held an executive session to discuss several loan accounts.
At the conclusion of the executive session the board announced that they have several prospects for loans, but nothing final has been discussed. In the meantime, the IDA does have funds available for loans to businesses at a fixed interest rate of 3.5 percent and anyone interested should contact the IDA at 768-7838.
It was noted there is about $553,954 available for lending and about $14,226.12 available for grant funding.
The board also heard a brief update from Vice President of Energy Paul McClosky who said the state Department of Environmental Protection has reintroduced the alternative fuel incentive grant and there is also a rebate program available for anyone who purchases an electric or natural gas vehicle.
The next regular meeting will be July 25 at 3 p.m. at the offices on Spruce Street.
