State police at Clearfield
An act of criminal mischief occurred along state Route 253 in Woodward Township between 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. yesterday. Someone drove a utility terrain vehicle onto the Rails to Trails, struck a gate, drove across the road, put a chain around a second gate and attempted to pull it open. Damage to the two gates is estimated at $500. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 857-3800.

On Wednesday between 1:45-2:30 a.m., a burglary occurred in Bradford Township. A boy removed several sets of keys and attempted to enter trucks at Wallace Transportation along Peterbuilt Lane. He was caught in the act by an employee and returned to his legal guardian, but the alleged victim declined prosecution.

No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident Saturday at approximately 3:30 p.m. in Decatur Township when an Osceola Mills woman was traveling south on SR 53 near Dunlap's Auto. She lost control of her vehicle, it struck a guide rail, lost its front tire and continued south. The driver pulled into a gas station, where she noticed her vehicle wasn't functioning correctly. The woman was taken to the police station for blood alcohol content testing.

Troopers ask anyone with information about the theft of a PlayStation 3 video game from a Hill Street apartment in Chester Hill between March 17-20 to contact them at 857-3800.

Charges were filed against a Woodland man, who was allegedly out of control and using profanity in front of patients in the Clearfield Hospital emergency room Thursday. He was allegedly warned to stop numerous times.

Following a traffic stop Saturday at 11:36 p.m. on SR 153 near the Sanborn intersection in Decatur Township, a Clearfield man was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

On Tuesday, a known Houtzdale woman was arrested after she issued a $100 check to Leyo's Market in Beccaria Township with insufficient funds in her account.

A burglary occurred on East White Oak Road in Smokerun Friday at 8:34 p.m. Caitlin Leibold of Schaeffer-town allegedly gained access to a Smokerun residence residence through a window and stole miscellaneous items. She was taken into custody, arraigned at district court and is housed at Clearfield County Jail.

Retail theft involving a Philipsburg man and woman was reported at Walmart.

Suspicious juveniles reportedly walking along SR 153 were gone when police arrived.

Someone reported juveniles were in possession of alcohol at a Krebs Highway residence; however, police responded to the location and found no one was home.

Police were called to a domestic incident in which a man was trespassing at a township residence.

The domestic incident on Lawrence Avenue was verbal and officers handled it at the scene.

Someone reported a utility terrain vehicle accident on a township roadway in which the operator fled the scene prior to police arrival.

State police at Punxsy
On Saturday at 8:15 a.m., a hit-and-run accident occurred in Chest Township. A dark green Audi passenger car was traveling south on Berwinsdale Road, traveled off the road, spun out of control and traveled into the northbound lane. It traveled off the left side of the road, struck a tree and parked vehicle, went through a yard and struck a building. The driver fled the scene. The vehicle likely has damage to both its left and right side. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police at 938-0510.

Someone unsuccessfully attempted to break into the Chest Township municipal building between Friday and Saturday by prying the tin doors away from the building, causing an estimated $500 in damage. Evidence at the scene indicates the person responsible cut themselves on the edges of the tin and suffered a laceration to their hand or arm.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

On Saturday at 10:57 a.m., a three-vehicle accident occurred on SR 36 in Bell Township.
Nikki Adams of Punxsu-tawney failed to see traffic stopped ahead, her vehicle struck the back of a vehicle driven by Jeff Turner of Mahaffey, forcing his vehicle into the back of a vehicle driven by Lois Gomola of Punxsutawney. Turner and a juvenile riding in a child safety seat in his vehicle suffered minor injuries and were treated at Punxsutawney Area Hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Sandy Township
On Friday, a Benezette woman was cited for leaving the scene of a minor accident in which her vehicle struck the back of a vehicle driven by a Falls Creek woman at the light on Shaffer Road. She was found on Jared Street, where at first she denied striking the other vehicle and then later admitted to it.

No injuries were reported Saturday when a man reported his daughter swerved to miss a deer on Sher De Lin Road, it traveled off the road and got stuck on a bank.

A Mauthe Road man reported his girlfriend was threatening to harm herself Saturday.
Upon police arrival, she came out of the house, yelled at her boyfriend and officers and attempted to flee the scene. She was taken into custody and transported to DuBois Regional Medical Center.

No injuries were reported Saturday when a man backed his truck into a parking space and it struck another truck.

Yesterday, a Rockton woman was not injured when her vehicle struck a deer on DuBois-Rockton Road.

Officers handled a domestic dispute between a woman and her estranged boyfriend yesterday at a Harper Road residence. She reported he was throwing her belongings out in the yard and wouldn't let her back in the house.

Curwensville Boro
In an act of criminal mischief Saturday evening, someone threw an object at a School Street residence, damaging a window frame.

State police at Philipsburg
Following a traffic stop on SR 350 near Twigg Settlement in Rush Township Thursday at 10:33 p.m., an Osceola Mills woman was found to be DUI of alcohol.

The investigation continues after police were notified of an allegation of a teen girl having consensual sex with a male approximately six years older than her.

Charles and Rebecca Beard of Port Matilda reported someone entered their unsecured shed on their farm along South Mountain Road between 5 p.m. April 14 and 9 a.m. April 15. Tools and accessories, valued at $600, were removed. A vehicle with a out exhaust was heard in the area at approximately 2 a.m. April 15. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 342-3370.
