State police at Clearfield The owner of a blue gazing ball lawn ornament and two stands found at 2100 Salem Road in Boggs Township yesterday morning should call the state police at 857-3800. --- An Ohio woman and her two passengers suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident Saturday at 3 p.m. in Cooper Township. She drove off of Interstate 80 onto the slush-covered side of the road, causing her to lose control of her vehicle. --- Following a traffic stop yesterday at approximately 1:25 a.m. for a traffic violation on Bee Hill Road in Lawrence Township, a Clearfield man was found to be driving under the influence. He attempted one standardized field sobriety test at the scene, which he failed. The man was allegedly too intoxicated to perform any further field sobriety tests. The man was arrested and transported to Clearfield Hospital for blood testing, which was sent to the Erie Crime Lab. --- During a traffic stop yesterday at approximately 2:43 a.m. for several traffic violations on U.S. Route 322 in Bradford Township, a Bigler man was found to be DUI. He was arrested and transported to Clearfield Hospital for blood testing.
Clearfield Boro The investigation continues after someone stole a package from a porch at an East Locust Street residence. --- Officers are investigating the theft of a purse from a vehicle along Weaver Street. --- Police served a warrant on a man who was located by Curwensville Borough police. --- The investigation continues in the theft of a Wii game device from a Milford Road residence.
Lawrence Township Officers responded to Hyde to check the welfare of two children reportedly walking on Lawrence Avenue, but were unable to locate them. --- In an act of criminal mischief, a known man broke a window out of a room at an area motel. --- Someone reported the theft of leased property from a Daisy Street Extension business. --- An incident of disorderly conduct and harassment reportedly occurred at an area motel. --- A resident reported a dog has been barking at all hours of the night. --- Police received a report of a drug violation at an area business. --- Extra patrols will be provided following a report of a possible fuel theft. --- A township resident reported the possible theft of a purse. --- Someone reported a traffic violation in Hillsdale. --- Officers received a report of the possible theft of a lost dog, checked into the matter and found it was not the same animal. --- Police have a person of interest in an incident of harassment. --- An individual allegedly interfered with the custody of a minor; however, the incident occurred outside of Lawrence Township and was referred to the state police. --- The vehicle fire reported in the Glen Richey area was extinguished by Glen Richey Fire Co. --- Someone reported a lost dog in the Mount Joy Road area. --- Police received a barking dog complaint in Hillsdale. --- Harassment, stalking and a protection from abuse violation at an area motel were unfounded. --- A one-vehicle accident occurred on state Route 2023 near Parker Road. --- A controlled burn was reported on Mount Joy Road. --- In an act of criminal mischief, someone reportedly vandalized a Flegal Road residence. --- Officers responded to a public service call at Sapp Bros. --- Someone reported an incident of harassment by communication. --- A reported incident of theft was unfounded. --- No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on Rockton Mountain Highway. --- An act of criminal mischief reportedly occurred in Kerr Addition. --- Officers handled a domestic incident at an area residence at the scene. --- Lawrence Township and Clearfield Borough police served several warrants. --- A vehicle struck a mailbox along Guinea Hill Road and fled the scene. Officers ask anyone with information to call them at 765-1647. --- The possible threat and incident of harassment that allegedly occurred on Facebook was unfounded and the person was advised of his options. --- A ticket was issued following a parking violation. --- A theft reportedly occurred along Franks Lane. --- In an act of criminal mischief on High Street, someone damaged a mailbox. --- A traffic violation reportedly occurred at River Road and SR 879. --- Following a report of a possible drug violation, police responded to a residence and didn't find any violations occurring. --- Police received a report of harassment via text messages and spoke to the individuals, who agreed to cease their actions. --- Officers contacted an individual who failed to return a vehicle, which was given back to its owner. --- Suspicious individuals in Hillsdale could not be located.
Curwensville Boro Three motorists were cited for exceeding the speed limit Thursday morning in the State Street and Ridge Avenue area. --- The suspicious man reported along Schofield Street Thursday was located and officers found he had warrants through Clearfield Borough police. --- Yesterday morning, a Curwensville man was arrested for DUI. --- Following an incident yesterday morning, three juveniles were found to be consuming alcohol. --- A Curwensville man was arrested for public drunkenness yesterday morning.
Morris-Cooper Regional The investigation continues following a fight between two girls at West Branch Area High School in which one girl suffered a minor injury. --- The investigation continues after a student threatened to punch a teacher in the face at West Branch Area High School. --- A Lanse resident reported an ex-girlfriend has been harassing him by calling nine to 10 times a day. Police contacted her and advised her to stop calling, but he did not want to press charges. --- Walk's Towing Service reported a vehicle repossession in Morris Township so no one reported the vehicle stolen. --- Individuals throwing snowballs at vehicles on Scott Street in Morris Township fled before police arrived. --- Two people reportedly walking around a Lanse resident's garage and house with flashlights attempting to gain access fled the scene when the resident set off the vehicle alarm.
State police at Philipsburg A physical altercation between an Osceola Mills girl and a Philipsburg girl occurred in the Philipsburg-Osceola Area Junior High School cafeteria Friday. --- Several items were removed from Auto Body Outlet along Front Street in Philipsburg between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 342-3370. --- No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident March 8 in Union Township when a Julian woman was traveling in the eastbound lane on Bush Hollow Road. Her vehicle exited the right side of the road and struck the undercarriage, it crossed both lanes, went off the left side of the road and could not be driven due to leaking fluids. --- Ariel Welch-Selfridge of Philipsburg was traveling east on Port Matilda Highway near Hannah Furnace Road in Rush Township Saturday at 11:29 a.m. She lost control of her vehicle, it traveled off the right side of the road, struck a stump, overturned and struck another stump. Welch-Selfridge was taken by Moshannon Valley EMS to Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, for moderate injuries. --- Cathy Frizzell of Philipsburg concealed candy items in her coat pocket and left the Philipsburg Sheetz without paying Friday at 12:45 a.m. --- Between July 23-25, a Philipsburg man obtained mail addressed to an Osceola Mills woman, opened it, which contained a check issued to her, and signed her name and cashed it. --- Bruce Hughes of Osceola Mills was not injured when he was traveling south too fast for conditions on SR 970 in Rush Township Saturday at 3:05 p.m., his vehicle left the west side of the road and came to rest against a tree.
State police at Rockview Troopers, in conjunction with the Centre County Coroner's office, are investigating the death of a 17-year-old Blanchard boy who was found unresponsive on Thursday. No immediate cause of death is known at this time and an autopsy is pending.
