DuBois Business College hosting card-signing for service personnel Friday, November 30, 2012 DUBOIS - DuBois Business College, main campus, held an open house Nov. 10, with emphasis on the clinical medical programs of study that the college offers. In addition, it held a Celebrate Our Troops card-signing event, which was included to honor active-duty personnel who are away from home in foreign fields of service. DBC plans to host Celebrate Our Troops events at the DuBois Mall and the Cranberry Mall today and tomorrow. Cards will be available at both locations for people to sign that will be sent to service personnel in overseas locations. To send an item to a service person, drop it off at either location and DBC will see that these items get to them. DBC recognizes the increasing need for people who have the desire to receive the training necessary to fill a clinical medical position at a hospital or local doctor's office. It offers several programs that prepare students for immediate placement in those clinical medical positions. The Associate in Specialized Business degree programs, clinical medical assistant and administrative medical assistant, help prepare students for essential clinical medical positions through intensive classes and extensive laboratory blocks. The courses impart essential skills to those who will take on the challenges of the clinical medical career. DBC holds an open house several times each year with the focus on the various programs of study offered. The Nov. 10 open house was the last one for this year, but the school will offer more next year. Those who are looking to further their education, regardless of their area of interest, are invited to stop at 1 Beaver Drive, DuBois, to see what DBC has to offer.
