Bloodmobile to benefit Emily Whitehead
Monday, October 29, 2012
LANSE - An American Red Cross bloodmobile will be held Thursday from 1-7 p.m. at Lanse Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lanse, to benefit Emily Whitehead. Emily is 7 years old and was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when she was 5 years old. She has received several units of blood throughout the two years of her treatment.
With the help of preventative chemotherapy and experimental T-Cell therapy, Emily has been cancer free since May. She is making steps toward leading a normal childhood. She is a THON Four Diamonds Child and looks forward to supporting the dancers each year. She is thankful for the blood donors and hopes to get assistance Thursday as well.
