Curwensville
Curwensville Merchants Association will sponsor a children's pumpkin decorating contest Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc., Curwensville. CMA will provide pumpkins and paint.
Three cash prizes, $25, first place; $15, second; and $10, third, will be awarded in two age groups, pre-kindergarten through third grade and grades four through six.
Curwensville Lions Club annual Halloween parade is Saturday at 1 p.m. at State and Locust streets and continues on State Street to Walnut and State streets near Clearfield Bank & Trust Co., Curwensville branch. Prizes will be awarded.
Grampian
The annual Halloween parade is Saturday at 2 p.m. There is change in the lineup location, with participants meeting at Grampian Community Park prior to 2 p.m. to march to Heritage Hall for costume judging and treats.
Hyde
The Hyde Fire Company will hold a kids Halloween party Oct. 28 from 2-4 p.m. Children up to 12 years old are invited to attend..
Mahaffey
The annual Halloween parade will begin Saturday at 11 a.m.
Participants should lineup prior to 11 a.m. at the parking lot of Chestquehanna Family Dining restaurant to march to the firehall, where there will be costume judging and treats.
Westover
A children's free fall festival will be held Saturday from 4-8 p.m. at the Westover Youth Center.
Parents and children of all ages are welcome to participate in activities including a pumpkin carving contest, a hayride, a haunted hayride and games. Refreshments will be served.
