CAST to hold special book sale

On Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre is having a four-hour only leftover book sale. This is a one-time-only sale and will not become a regular event.
"We had a wonderful turnout for last week's great CAST book sale," said CAST Executive Director Ruth Loffredi. "We sold thousands of books, but now we have to make way to store the new arrivals that have already started coming in for our spring book sale. Over the years we have accumulated quite a few books that for some reason or other have not sold. Maybe they're duplicates or maybe they're not in the pristine condition most of our books are in, or maybe they were just overlooked by buyers.
"There are hundreds of fiction, non-fiction and books on just about any subject you can imagine. So, we are going to do a one-time-only leftover sale where we sell any leftover book for 25 cents.
"Not only are we going to sell leftover books at this one-time-only sale," continued Loffredi, "but we also have hundreds of DVDs, cassettes and videos that we are also going to sell for only 25 cents each.
"We are very fortunate to have so many wonderful people donate their books to us year-round," said Loffredi. "We are so grateful to them and we will continue to do the semi-annual book sale as long as CAST is around because it is one of our important fundraisers. CAST, being Clearfield County's cultural center, is the perfect place for book sales. The next great CAST semi-annual book sale will be in April."
