Chamber to hold media auction

More than thirty different advertising packages will be auctioned off at the area's first media auction to be held by the Chamber of Commerce of Clearfield, according to members of the chamber's Marketing and Events Committee who met recently to review details of the inaugural event.
The media auction is set for Nov. 14, 2012, at the Lock Haven University Clearfield Campus. This will be a great opportunity for area businesses and organizations to purchase marketing and advertising at greatly reduced prices.
The official advertising packet will be out for review by business owners and marketing managers in the coming week. All of these packages will start at approximately 10 percent off the original retail value.
The Chamber encourages businesses and organizations of any size to participate, as these packages range in price from $100 to $2,500 in retail value. It will be a wonderful opportunity to explore different advertising mediums at greatly reduced prices.
The media auction will not only feature advertising packages from local mediums but also outlets from outside of our county such as Pittsburgh and nationwide. This event features numerous radio, television, online and print outlets, as well as many more advertising companies.
Some of these packages will be from ABC23/Fox 8, GANT Daily, Action Graphics, Pittsburgh City Paper, Where & When PA Travel Guide, WJAC-TV, The Progress, Graham Signs, wOK!w and more. They have donated various packages to enhance your company's advertising and marketing plans. Attendees will have the opportunity to preview the offerings during a social hour after which an auction will be held for the various items.
You will also have the chance to hear from each business that has donated an advertising package the actual night of the event before their business package is auctioned off. This will be the time to hear what each of these businesses are all about before bidding on their packages.
The Chamber is confident that this event will give those in attendance a great method of saving money on their 2013 marketing and advertising budgets. Even if your annual advertising budget is small, please do not let this event scare you off. Each package is different in pricing and can fit into anyone's promotional budget.
Those attending the event are encouraged to arrive at 4 p.m. for the social hour with light refreshments. The actual auction will begin at 5 p.m. featuring auctioneer Pat Errigo. There is no fee for Clearfield Chamber of Commerce members to attend the auction, and a just $10 per business for non-chamber members.
Each business in attendance will receive one number for bidding. Methods of payment the night of the auction will be check, cash, Visa, Master Card, Discover Card or a business can be invoiced.
There will be no reservation required, but a RSVP would be greatly appreciated for planning purposes.
