State police at Clearfield No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident yesterday at 6:52 p.m. on Interstate 80 near eastbound mile marker 110 in Pine Township. An Erie man was traveling in the left lane when a tire blew out, causing him to lose control of his vehicle, it traveled into the center median and struck an embankment. --- Yesterday at 3:38 p.m., a one-vehicle accident occurred on I-80 near westbound mile marker 120 in Lawrence Township when a Springboro woman was traveling in the right lane. A passing vehicle merged in front of her, causing her to lose control of her vehicle. It traveled across both lanes and into the center median, striking a cement culvert. The driver and her passenger, a Springboro boy, were not injured. --- The investigation continues after someone removed a Dish network receiver, valued at $375, from a Penn Township woman's front porch on East Hepburnia Road before Fed-Ex could pick it up. --- No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident Friday at 4:15 p.m. on state Route 879 in Goshen Township. Evan Smeal of Frenchville was traveling west and attempted to negotiate a left curve while speeding, causing his vehicle to travel onto an embankment for approximately 360 feet. It struck a large rock, rotated clockwise and traveled back onto the road for approximately 120 feet. The vehicle came to rest blocking the westbound lane. --- In an act of criminal mischief at Dollar General in Curwensville, someone backed out of a parking stall and struck a Curwensville woman's vehicle. The vehicle is described as a red compact car with damage to its passenger-side mirror. Damage in the incident is estimated at $500 and the investigation continues.
Clearfield Boro Officers assisted Lawrence Township police with a possible burglary in progress in the Goldenrod area. --- Police located a traffic barrier that was struck by a vehicle at East Market and Fourth streets. --- A traffic hazard was located and removed from Cemetery Road. --- The person who reportedly harmed him or herself along Finch Street was transported to Clearfield Hospital. --- The noise complaint along South Second Street was unfounded. --- Anyone with information about jewelry stolen from a stand at the Fall Festival is asked to contact police at 765-7819. --- Police were dispatched to the Fall Festival after someone locked their keys in their vehicle. --- The unrestrained dog on West Locust Street was in its owner's custody when officers arrived. --- In an incident of harassment by communication, the person responsible was contacted and advised to stop or charges would be filed. --- Officers received a report of a man who pulled a gun on another man at Dinger's. --- A report was received regarding a woman with a concussion who was lost along Fairview Avenue and Cemetery Road. --- Police received a report of an unknown male who was pounding on a Cemetery Road resident's door and fled the scene. --- The man involved in a domestic situation along East Cherry Street was removed from the residence. --- The investigation continues in a report of stalking and harassment along High Street. --- Two men involved in a physical altercation in the J.G. Food Warehouse parking lot were advised they would be cited for their conduct. --- Officers responded to Sheetz where a man was causing problems with a woman who had had him arrested earlier in the day. --- A highly intoxicated person on Reed Street was located with sober friends who took responsibility for him. --- The person responsible for a hit-and-run accident at Dinger's was located and arrested. --- Police were asked to check the welfare of an East End woman and found she was not in the area. The person who made the request was advised. --- Following a traffic stop for traveling the wrong way on a one-way street from Bridge Street onto North Second Street, the driver was found to be under the influence.
Lawrence Township The suspicious individual reportedly trying to gain access to a Clearfield-Shawville Highway business was found to be an employee. --- A retail theft incident occurred at a Clearfield Mall business. --- Police checked on the welfare of a woman on Supercenter Drive who appeared to be under the influence. --- An incident of theft reportedly occurred at an area motel. --- In an incident of theft at a South Second Street business, someone took an employee's cell phone. --- Extra patrols will be provided on Wrigley Street after someone reported speeding vehicles. --- Officers were unable to locate individuals reportedly trespassing on private property. --- A Clearfield woman was arrested after a retail theft incident at a SR 879 business. --- Someone reported a disabled vehicle on Daisy Street Extension. --- Three reports of reckless driving, including two in the Hyde area and one on Rockton Mountain Highway, were reported. --- Disorderly conduct at a Woodland Drive business was handled at the scene. --- Officers assisted state police at Clearfield with an accident on U.S. Route 322/SR 153. --- A suspicious vehicle was reported on Nelson Road. --- The investigation continues in an incident of harassment at Clearfield Area Middle School. --- Officers checked the Goldenrod area, but were unable to locate anyone after they responded to a residential alarm and learned the homeowner heard someone at their back door. --- Police assisted a motorist with unlocking their vehicle. --- Following a report of trespassing on Lawana Lane, police spoke an individual and advised them to leave. --- The investigation continues after someone reported shots were fired at or near their home on Old Penfield Road. Police obtained vehicle registration information. --- Officers were called to Williams Street for a report of a suspicious man pacing back and forth in front of a residence. He was picked up by a gray Chevy Avalanche minutes before police arrived, but the vehicle could not be located. --- A call regarding child custody and medical treatment was referred to Children Youth and Family Services. --- Everything was found to be fine when police responded to Lawrence Park Village to check the welfare of a mother and two children. --- The investigation continues in a theft or unauthorized use of a motor vehicle incident after a known woman took possession of a vehicle under false pretenses. --- Officers are investigating a hit-and-run accident in which a vehicle parked in a handicapped-accessible parking lot at Walmart Supercenter was struck by a vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 765-1533. --- A black HTC Hero smart phone with Sprint Service was lost or stolen at Kwik Fill on South Second Street. --- Officers were dispatched to Clarendon Avenue for an incident regarding personal property that was illegally retained by a family member.
State police at DuBois The investigation continues after someone removed a propane tank and barbecue grill from a camp on Fire Road in Huston Township between Oct. 1 and Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 371-4652.
State police at Philipsburg No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident yesterday at 3:36 p.m. when Winifred Rock of Philipsburg was stopped in the southbound lane of Troy-Hawk Run Highway. The back of her vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Jean Leach of Philipsburg.
