State police at Clearfield
No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident yesterday at 6:52 p.m. on Interstate 80 near eastbound mile marker 110 in Pine Township. An Erie man was traveling in the left lane when a tire blew out, causing him to lose control of his vehicle, it traveled into the center median and struck an embankment.

Yesterday at 3:38 p.m., a one-vehicle accident occurred on I-80 near westbound mile marker 120 in Lawrence Township when a Springboro woman was traveling in the right lane. A passing vehicle merged in front of her, causing her to lose control of her vehicle. It traveled across both lanes and into the center median, striking a cement culvert. The driver and her passenger, a Springboro boy, were not injured.

The investigation continues after someone removed a Dish network receiver, valued at $375, from a Penn Township woman's front porch on East Hepburnia Road before Fed-Ex could pick it up.

No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident Friday at 4:15 p.m. on state Route 879 in Goshen Township. Evan Smeal of Frenchville was traveling west and attempted to negotiate a left curve while speeding, causing his vehicle to travel onto an embankment for approximately 360 feet. It struck a large rock, rotated clockwise and traveled back onto the road for approximately 120 feet. The vehicle came to rest blocking the westbound lane.

In an act of criminal mischief at Dollar General in Curwensville, someone backed out of a parking stall and struck a Curwensville woman's vehicle. The vehicle is described as a red compact car with damage to its passenger-side mirror. Damage in the incident is estimated at $500 and the investigation continues.

Officers assisted Lawrence Township police with a possible burglary in progress in the Goldenrod area.

The suspicious individual reportedly trying to gain access to a Clearfield-Shawville Highway business was found to be an employee.

Officers are investigating a hit-and-run accident in which a vehicle parked in a handicapped-accessible parking lot at Walmart Supercenter was struck by a vehicle.

State police at DuBois
The investigation continues after someone removed a propane tank and barbecue grill from a camp on Fire Road in Huston Township between Oct. 1 and Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 371-4652.

State police at Philipsburg
No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident yesterday at 3:36 p.m. when Winifred Rock of Philipsburg was stopped in the southbound lane of Troy-Hawk Run Highway. The back of her vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Jean Leach of Philipsburg.
