Missing woman found dead in her vehicle

PHILIPSBURG - Mary Ellen Houck, 65, was reported missing from her Port Matilda home on Wednesday by her family. State police at Philipsburg reported she was found dead in her vehicle yesterday at approximately 11:20 a.m. just north of U.S. Route 322 along Hanna Furnace Road in Rush Township, just outside Philipsburg.
Police said the cause of death is unknown and is under investigation; however, they said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers pronounced Houck dead at 11:50 a.m.
