Candidates' forum to be held Thursday

United Steelworker's Union Local No. 8166 will host a 74th District candidates' forum Thursday at the Clearfield Sons of Italy Lodge.
USW Local No. 8166 President Charlie Lombardo said he and his members were, "... interested in learning where the candidates for the 74th House District stood on issues that will directly affect the lives of their families and their employment. With the retirement of Bud George, working families in our area are losing a tireless champion and it is important to understand that whoever fills this seat will have a significant impact on the future of our area."
The Democratic candidate, Mark B. McCracken, and Republican candidate, Tommy Sankey, have agreed to attend. Each candidate will be given an opportunity to make a brief speech followed by questions from the audience and a closing statement.
Members of the public are invited to attend this free event. The SOI Lodge is located at 1007 Daisy St., Clearfield. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the forum begins at 7 p.m. Guests should use the side entrance. Light refreshments will be provided.
