A STEP BACK IN TIME Tuesday, October 02, 2012 Museum volunteers prepare for the Eighth Annual Clearfield County Historical Society Apple Cider Outing and Open House to be held Oct. 14 from 1-4 p.m. at Bloody Knox Log Cabin in Kellytown. The first 100 children will be offered pumpkins for a decorating contest. Other events are making apple cider on the 1890s press, butter churning demonstration, apple butter preparation, making sauerkraut, rope and corn brooms. Everyone is invited to enjoy samples. Tom and Sharon Aaron will be on hand to prepare food over the fire. Tour the cabin and hear its history and visit the sales table to purchase various items made as well as CCHS memberships, books and maple syrup. (Submitted photo)
