Lady Tide avenge loss to DCC

DUBOIS - The Curwensville girls soccer team avenged a loss from last week by downing DuBois Central Catholic, 3-2, on Saturday.
It was the first loss of the season for the Lady Cardinals, who defeated the Lady Tide in the championship game of the Mimi Manfredo Tournament on Sept. 15.
Krista Kolesar scored the game-winner at 56:10 off an assist from Heather Thorp. Kolesar also scored at 48:32 on an assist by Makenzie Winebold.
Curwensville's Cheyenne Geisler also had a goal, while Tiffany Carter had six saves.
The Lady Tide improved to 8-1 overall. Curwensville hosts Brookville this afternoon.
