Boggs Twp. Supervisors updated on Dixon hearing Tuesday, August 14, 2012 By Tyler Kolesar Staff Writer WEST DECATUR - The Boggs Township Supervisors gave an update on the Dixon hearing at a brief monthly supervisors meeting. Chairman Bill Dickson said they held a hearing on Aug. 7 at 2 p.m. at Magisterial District Judge Jerry Nevling's office, with neither Tom nor Brenda Dixon appearing. Dickson said they haven't done a single thing as far as the plan to submit to the township since the original hearing on April 18. Dickson said there were 25 different things that needed to be corrected at the Dixons' business, including land development plans, water runoff problems, and more. Dickson said the Dixons were found guilty and were fined $4,000 and the township will pursue any avenue possible to try to get them in compliance. Dickson said it's not just problems with the township level. "We don't want you people to think it's the township," said Dickson. "It's also state, county, and local level here; the things that they are violating." In other news, Dickson said Sewage Enforcement Officer James Wischuck has decided to "move on to other things" and resigned as township SEO. A motion was unanimously passed to hire the Pennsafe firm as the new SEO. Also, a large section of Old Erie Pike will be paved in the near future.
