Madera man facing trial on sex charges
Thursday, August 02, 2012
By Jeff Corcino Staff Writer
A Madera man accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Jerome Nevling at yesterday's session of Centralized Court held at the Clearfield County Jail.
Jason G. Dixon, 32, is charged with statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, criminal attempt/statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on May 30, a friend introduced Dixon to the victim and later that night the two began sending text messages to each other.
The next day the victim went to Dixon's home on Lynn Street, Madera, Bigler Township.
After she arrived Dixon began kissing the girl on the lips. He then asked the victim if she wanted to have sex and they moved to the living room couch. Once on the couch, Dixon removed the victim's clothing as well as his own and began fondling the girl. He then attempted to have sexual intercourse with her but she stopped him and told him she could not do this.
She then put on her clothes and left the residence.
On June 5, police interviewed Dixon and he admitted to committing the sexual acts with the victim and said he knew that she was 13 years old.
Dixon is incarcerated in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $40,000 straight bail.
