Fugitive surrenders
Wednesday, July 25, 2012
Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. announced the capture of a wanted fugitive, Kacey Fisher, 26, of Princess Street, Brisbin.
Fisher was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list May 24, 2012.
On Sept. 1, 2011, Trooper Marshall Siple of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield barracks, filed a criminal complaint charging Fisher with two counts of receiving stolen property.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Siple states that in August 2011, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into the theft of two motor vehicles from separate residences in Bigler Township. Upon investigation, it was found that Fisher and another individual had unlawfully removed the motor vehicles from the residences. After the motor vehicles were located, it was discovered that Fisher and the other individual had caused significant damage to each of the vehicles.
A preliminary hearing was held Oct. 5, 2011, at which time all charges were held to court. On May 24, 2012, Fisher failed to appear for pretrial conferences and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Shaw stated that on July 19, 2012, she voluntarily surrendered herself to deputies from the Clearfield County Sheriff's Office. Fisher is currently lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
Anyone with knowledge of a fugitive's location is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.
