County accepts waste plan

The Clearfield County Solid Waste Authority held a brief meeting last night and it was noted that the Municipal Waste Plan has been accepted by the Clearfield County Commissioners and is now going to the municipalities for ratification.
The electronics collection program is still going well. The authority did receive notice from the company collecting the electronics that the last load was incorrectly packed. The reason was, there was room for a copy machine, but not for a skid, so the copy machine was placed on the truck without a skid.
The CCSWA is ready for the fair and a sign-up sheet was available for members to take turns at the booth, located at the Old Town Sportsmen's pavilion. New magnets are available and will be handed out at the fair. The audit was also approved.
The next meeting will be Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.
