State police at Clearfield
Someone forcefully gained entry into a garage on Hardscrabble Road in Morris Township yesterday at 2 p.m. and stole a Hobart Mig Welder model handler No. 187. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to contact the state police at 857-3800.

On Friday at 5:42 p.m., a known woman allegedly threatened to harm a Coalport man on Wood Street in Coalport.

A Woodland man was stopped on Winburne Road in Cooper Township for a traffic violation at 2:40 a.m. Saturday, and police determined he had been imbibing alcoholic beverages. The man failed two standardized field sobriety tests at the scene and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. He was transported to PSP Clearfield for a breathalyzer test, and the results revealed he had a .17 percent blood alcohol content.

Someone removed a dealer plate from a vehicle that was parked at Leyo's Market in Coalport on Saturday between 3-3:38 p.m. The plate's registration number is H25441H, and anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to contact the state police.

On Saturday between 1-7 a.m., someone damaged a mailbox along Sington Road in Graham Township. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to contact the state police.

In an incident of burglary, someone broke into a camp along Trout Run Road in Goshen Township between June 26 and Saturday and stole a gray jumper pack, two mini mags, toilet paper and 30-30 bullets. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to contact the state police.

A two-vehicle accident occurred yesterday at 1:40 p.m. on Egypt Road in Bradford Township where a 15-year-old juvenile negotiated a right curve on a motorcycle, traveled into the east lane, and struck the front of a vehicle driven by Emily Williams of Woodland that was traveling east. The juvenile was wearing a helmet, but suffered minor injuries and was transported to Clearfield Hospital. Williams was not injured. The juvenile was cited for various vehicle code violations.

The man who allegedly threatened a resident at an area inn fled the area, but was later located by police and advised to cease contact with the resident.

A man was transported to Clearfield Hospital by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services after a single-vehicle accident on Montgomery Run Road where he failed to negotiate a sharp curve, left the roadway, entered a yard and struck an electrical pole. Penelec arrived and secured the sheared off pole. Hyde Fire Co. and Hyde Fire Police also assisted at the scene.

State police at Punxsy
No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle accident on SR 36 in Bell Township where Ricky Thompson of Mahaffey was traveling north when he adjusted his radio and traveled across the roadway and off of its western edge for 109 feet. Thompson then traveled 18 feet in a northerly direction through a lawn where his vehicle struck a state Department of Transportation sign located five feet west of SR 36. After impact, his vehicle traveled 31 feet through a grass lawn and back onto the road.

In a criminal mischief incident on June 29, someone smashed the windows out of a vehicle that was parked on private property and damaged mailboxes along Solley Road in Burnside Township. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the state police at 938-0510.

A Giant Iguana bicycle was found along Walnut Street in Rush Township on Tuesday. The owner is asked to call police at 342-3370 to claim.

Katherine Barr of Julian was traveling south on SR 220 (Eagle Valley Road) north of Unionville on Tuesday around midnight when she fell asleep at the wheel, drifted off the west berm, struck a utility pole, and overturned before coming to rest back on the vehicle's wheels. Barr suffered minor injuries.

A man grabbed a woman around the neck and threw her to the floor along East Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Tuesday around 8:50 p.m.

Someone damaged the right front fender of an Oldsmobile Silhouette while it was parked in the driveway of Anna Herr of North Third Street, Philipsburg, sometime after June 3. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

A single-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of South Front Street and East Maple Street in Philipsburg Saturday at 3 p.m. Corey Hartman of Philipsburg was traveling south on South Front Street when he attempted to negotiate a right turn onto East Maple Street at a high rate of speed, losing control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck an unoccupied residence on East Maple Street, causing severe damage. Hartman and passenger Alicia McDiffitt of Philipsburg were transported to Clearfield Hospital for treatment of injuries. The road was closed for approximately 45 minutes.
