State police at Clearfield
The investigation continues after someone entered a pickup truck on Curwensville-Grampian Highway in Pike Township between May 5 and June 16 and removed a Smith & Wesson .357 model 686 revolver valued at $600.

Someone damaged mailboxes along Old Valley Road in Boggs Township between 9 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. yesterday. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to contact the state police at 857-3800.

Following a pursuit at speeds in excess of 120 mph on Interstate 80 in Graham Township yesterday at 5:33 p.m., police took a Chicago man into custody for fleeing and eluding police. The man lost control of his vehicle at mile marker 128 westbound and crashed. He was not injured.
The man was arraigned and placed in Clearfield County Jail on $250,000 cash bail.

The investigation continues pending phone records from Verizon Wireless after an unknown man made four calls to the control room at State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale on Thursday at 3:10 a.m. and related he was going to blow up the prison.

Officers responded to a verbal domestic incident between a mother and daughter along North Third Street. The incident was handled at the scene.

A noise complaint was reported on South Fourth Street. Police discovered the incident was a dispute between neighbors and separated the parties for the night.

An out-of-control patient was reported at the Clearfield Hospital emergency room. Officers handled the incident at the scene, but the patient later escaped the hospital with an IV still attached. Police located the patient and transported her back to the hospital.

Police located an open door on a local building. After searching the premises, the building was secured.

While patrolling the Hillsdale area, officers located a lost truck driver on High Street. Officers assisted the driver to his destination.

Lawrence Township
Copper wire was reported stolen at the SPCA building construction site on 21st Street. The investigation is continuing.

The investigation is continuing on a number of items reported stolen during a burglary that occurred at a residence on Nelson Road.

A township resident reported a scam where a man from a paving company offered to blacktop a driveway and used high-pressure sales techniques to get her to agree to it. When she asked how much it would cost, he said he couldn't give a price until the job was completed. Police advise residents to use contractors they know and to get estimates or quotes in writing before agreeing to have services provided.

Police served an arrest warrant on a woman who failed to respond to charges of retail theft. Clearfield Borough police provided assistance in locating the woman.

Police found everything to be secure at Tractor Supply on Beaver Drive after an alarm went off Friday.

A Lanse resident threw a baseball at an all terrain vehicle side-by-side cart, breaking the windshield of the moving vehicle.

Police attempted to stop a red four-wheeled all terrain vehicle traveling on the Morrisdale-Allport Highway then onto Glendale Avenue from the Country Convenience store. The operator was wearing a blue shirt and white ball cap. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
