Daily Police Log Tuesday, June 26, 2012 Clearfield Boro Police were called to North Fifth Street where a male was reportedly making threats. He was intoxicated and told to go back inside. --- Lawrence Township Police assisted in locating a male who was reportedly prowling around Power Avenue. The incident was unfounded. --- Police were called to try to locate a male who had reportedly escaped from the Clearfield Hospital. It is believed the actor had a ride and could not be located. --- Officers received a complaint of a vehicle blocking the sidewalk on Turnpike Avenue. The vehicle was ticketed. --- Police received a parking complaint at the Dimeling Senior Center. A vehicle was parked in a reserved parking space. The vehicle was ticketed. --- An act of trespass was reported in the East End area. --- Police investigated an act of harassment complaint that occurred on Nichols Street. --- Officers assisted the DuBois Police with an unruly male that they had brought to the Clearfield Hospital.
Lawrence Township Following an illegal dumping complaint at a compost site along Mann Road, police checked the site and found only wood and grass trimmings. --- Officers assisted Pennsylvania State Police in an attempt to locate a reckless driver who was traveling westbound on U.S. Route 322. --- Someone reported a possible wanted person at Clearfield Mall, however police searched their records and could not find anything indicating the individual was wanted. --- A woman was transported to Clearfield Hospital by private vehicle for treatment of a minor injury to her back following a single-vehicle accident on Martin Street Extension. The woman reportedly traveled off of the road and swerved to avoid a collision but struck an embankment and a utility pole. --- A possible gas leak was referred to a gas company representative and the fire department who was asked to check out the situation. --- The investigation continues after someone made threats toward a man and his family via Xbox Live. --- Police were canceled en-route to a suspicious vehicle call on Old Erie Pike after it was determined the vehicle was disabled and was being towed. --- Individuals who reported a property dispute were referred to a magisterial district judge. --- Police advised a woman to move her vehicle from a fire lane at Timberland Federal Credit Union and not to park there again after they learned she had repeatedly parked there. The woman disputed the claim, however police obtained video footage. --- Officers assisted a state constable with serving a warrant on an area man at Hillsdale Community Center. --- A woman reported a domestic assault occurred in Clearfield, and the incident was referred to borough police. --- Following a report of a brush fire on Flegal Road, police responded and found the fire department was on scene. --- In an act of harassment by communications, a township resident received unwanted phone calls from a telemarketer. Police advised the resident to join a "do not call" list.
Sandy Township A Lincoln Drive resident reported Friday that someone knocked over his mailbox, causing $50 worth of damage. --- Employees of Sears reported a female with blond hair, in her 40s or 50s was seen putting items into her bag Friday, then left the store. Employees were able to obtain a vehicle registration and officers located the woman at her home. The investigation continues. --- A Wayne Road resident reported being harassed by a known woman Friday via text message. The suspect denied the harassment. Officers handled the situation without incident. --- A woman reported she hit a bear on Oklahoma-Salem Road. No damage or injuries were reported. --- Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a Juniata Street residence on Saturday. A man and his wife reportedly engaged in an argument about a suspected affair. Officers handled the situation without incident. --- A Green Glenn Road man and his passenger were traveling on Bay Road in Treasure Lake Saturday when he lost control of the vehicle and struck an electrical pole, shearing it off. The two then fled the scene on foot. Police later located the pair at their home. The driver passed field sobriety tests but will be cited for public drunkenness. They were taken by private vehicle to DRMC for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries. --- Two New Jersey men were seen by a resident taking four orange cones valued at $200 from the accident scene in Treasure Lake on Saturday. --- Three vehicles were involved in an accident on Home Camp Road Saturday. A Rockton woman was stopped to make a turn and a vehicle driven by a St. Marys man was stopped behind her. A vehicle driven by a DuBois woman failed to stop and struck the second vehicle causing it to strike the first vehicle. Severe damage was reported to the DuBois woman's vehicle. No injuries were reported. --- Officers responded to the Clarion Inn for a disturbance between two males Sunday. The situation was handled without incident. --- A Peterson Road woman reported a prowler outside her house. Officers searched the area but could not locate the suspected prowler. --- A Treasure Lake woman reported that her house was egged, and suspected it was a known DuBois woman. --- A Reynoldsville man hit a bear and three cubs on U.S. 322 near the Thunderbird Restaurant. The man was not injured and his vehicle sustained minor damage. --- Officers received a report of a man laying along the side of the road near Dairy Queen. Upon investigation officers located the man, and found that he was trying to get home to Sykesville after leaving the DRMC ER where he had been taken by his girlfriend. Officers contacted the man's sister who arrived to pick him up.
