State police at Clearfield
Troop C members, in accordance with Pennsylvania State Police Checkpoint Strikeforce II, will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Clearfield County this month on roadways that have a high incidence of alcohol-related crashes.

Lawrence Township
The investigation continues in a hit-and-run accident at Sheetz along state Route 879.

Following a traffic stop on Riverview Road for a reported stolen vehicle on Turnpike Avenue Extension, a man was arrested for driving under the influence and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The man was released to his mother, but later police received another call about the same man walking along South Second Street. He was located and taken to Clearfield County Jail for public drunkenness.

State police at DuBois
On May 25 at 7:15 a.m., a one-vehicle accident occurred in Huston Township.
Jody Chicola of Weedville was traveling south on Bennetts Valley Highway when she became distracted by a crying baby. Her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and she swerved, causing it to slide. She lost control of the vehicle, it slid off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned, coming to rest on its left side.
Chicola was wearing her seat belt and suffered minor injuries. Her passenger was restrained in a child safety seat and was not injured.
The state Department of Transportation, Bennetts Valley Ambulance and DuSan Ambulance assisted at the scene.

Disorderly conduct occurred in Union Township May 28.
A Reynoldsville man was traveling west on U.S. Route 322 near Anderson Creek Road when he stopped his vehicle suddenly, exited and yelled at a motorist for driving too slow.
