Cancer carnival to be held June 30 at Woodland

WOODLAND - A cancer carnival will be held June 30 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Woodland Park.
Several people in the area with cancer need assistance, including Brandon Denochick, Emily Whitehead, Carol Walls, Drae Storm and others. All proceeds go to the patients and their families.
Events will begin at 11 a.m., with prayer by the Rev. Wayne Focht. Following the prayer, signup for the horseshoe tournament will be held; there is a $10 entry fee. Games will start at noon and teams are welcome.
A beautiful baby contest will be held for newborns to age 6. Bring a can with your child's picture on it. Registration will be at 11 a.m. and there is a $5 entry fee per child.
There will be a Cancer Wall, where participants can bring a picture in honor or memory of someone for a donation.
Entertainment will begin at 11:15 a.m. with A Day Awaits, Primer Grey & Just Us, Girls, Makayla Hughes, Taylor Weaver and Danielle Kepart, Elvis-Patrick Moore, Still Moore, Starlettes and Michal Williamson.
Also, there will be food, crafts, a Chinese auction, yard sale/flea market, candles, music all day, balloon launch, lottery tree, dunking booth, baseball tournament, kiddy rides, snow cones, cotton candy and a 50-50. In addition, offered will be Scensy, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Luther's Lounge, Cookie Lee Jewelry, Tastefully Simple, Shakeology and much more. Fun Central will be attending with activities for the children.
