State police at Clearfield
Someone stole a 12-speed Huffy/Murray bicycle from a carport along Decatur Street in Chester Hill between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. yesterday.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 857-3800.

The owner of a black backpack containing photos, a watch, clothes and other miscellaneous items found on Knepp Road in Bigler can claim it at the police station.

The investigation continues after a motorist passed a bicyclist at 8 p.m. yesterday and made a right turn onto Woods Hollow Road in Boggs Township.
This caused the bicyclist to flip his bicycle and land on the roadway, where he struck the vehicle. The motorist slowed and then sped off.

Following a one-vehicle accident on state Route 153 in Boggs Township, a Philipsburg man was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. He was allegedly traveling south, swerved to miss a deer and his vehicle traveled off the west berm and struck an embankment.
The man, who had an outstanding arrest warrant in Centre County, was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported to Clearfield County Jail.

Police assisted a motorist with unlocking a vehicle on Bloom Road.

Officers are investigating a burglary at Quigley's Pub, where someone gained entrance to a small enclosed area on the side of the building between 2-3 a.m.
Forensic evidence was collected for processing, and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 765-1647.

Incidents of retail theft were reported in which an individual was observed switching higher price tags for lower ones and buying items at a lower price.
Police have a person of interest and the investigation continues.

Officers assisted with a search for a 90-year-old man who had been missing for a few hours, and he was found disoriented but in good health.

The investigation continues and police have a person of interest in a burglary at The Skate Station where a burglar was caught on video and forensic evidence was collected.

Officers assisted Clearfield Borough police with a DUI arrest after a motorist traveled on South Second Street from the township into the borough and was stopped.

Police were unable to located an allegedly intoxicated driver who left an area establishment in a small Chevrolet car.

State police at Punxsy
Yesterday at 4:55 a.m., a one-vehicle accident occurred on state Route 36 in Bell Township where Stephen Addleman of Grampian was traveling north and negotiated a left curve.
He noticed a deer and swerved to the right, causing his vehicle to travel off of the east edge of the road and into a grassy area. It struck an 8-foot embankment, overturned and struck a traffic sign, overturned onto the road, and slid on its right side and came to rest facing south.
A fuel tank that was in the bed of his vehicle slid 88 feet in a northwest direction across SR 36 when it overturned.
Addleman was transported to DuBois Regional Medical Center by Mahaffey Ambulance Service for treatment of minor injuries.
Mahaffey Fire Co. assisted at the scene.

Sandy Township
On Monday, an accident occurred when a Ridgway woman stopped at a flashing red light at Shaffer Road and Bee Line Highway and pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by a Coudersport man.
A passenger in the Coudersport man's vehicle was taken to DuBois Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

No injuries were reported Monday when a Valier woman pulled her vehicle from the stop sign at Midway and Commons drives into the path of a vehicle driven by a Johnsonburg woman.

Four males reportedly shooting a BB gun from a truck into the woods in the White Pine Road area Monday were gone upon police arrival.

A Verizon Wireless employee reported 20 feet of copper wire, copper bus bar and eight copper lugs, all valued at approximately $800, were taken from a cell tower site on Giles Road.

No one was injured when a truck struck another truck in the back parking lot at Pilot Monday.

On Monday, a Curwensville woman flagged down police on Rich Highway to report an assault, but it was found she had chased down two women in another vehicle and struck them.
The dispute was over money.

During an investigation for a disturbance on Rich Highway, a Reynoldsville man gave false information on his identity, and later confessed to it.

Officers handled a situation Monday in which a West Long Avenue woman reported being harassed by her ex-boyfriend.

A South Brady Street resident reported Tuesday that her upstairs neighbor's estranged husband, a Kersey man, had been coming to the residence and causing a disturbance, and the landlord told him not to come back.
He reportedly returned, caused a disturbance again and officers contacted him and told him not to return, but he became uncooperative and later returned.
While en route, the man left on a motorcycle and when officers attempted to pull him over, he tried to flee at a high rate of speed onto U.S. Route 119 toward the West Liberty area. He passed vehicles on the berm and fled into a wooded area, coming out on West Liberty Road.
An officer standing on the side of the road in an attempt to stop the man was nearly struck, but was able to avoid being struck. The man sped across West Liberty Road, attempting to flee again. Contact was made with the man on Hepburn Road, where he was driving erratically at high rates of speed until he reached the end of the road and crossed U.S. 219, without stopping.
The operator lost control of the motorcycle and struck an embankment at a high rate of speed. He crashed and was taken via medical helicopter to Altoona.
DuBois City Police Department assisted.

Officers handled a situation Tuesday in which a 14-year-old girl reported her mother's estranged boyfriend was harassing her and her mother and physically assaulted them both.

The man who threatened Blinker Sheetz patrons who was asked by one person to leave him alone and he threatened to shoot him could not be located Tuesday.

State police at Philipsburg
Someone threw eggs at a Willow Street residence in Philipsburg yesterday at 11:50 p.m. and wrote phrases and drew pictures with soap on four vehicles in the driveway.
