Lawrence Township The owner of an abandoned vehicle left at an area motel will be contacted by police. --- In a two-vehicle accident yesterday morning at Clearfield Mall, a Woodland resident's vehicle entered the parking lot and struck a Mineral Springs resident's vehicle. One person suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. --- A man who was standing on Supercenter Drive begging for money left prior to police arrival. --- Someone requested information on a motor vehicle accident. --- Downed telephone lines were reported on Robinson Avenue. --- Harassment by communication involving text messages was reported. --- Police assisted a motorist on state Route 879 near Park Avenue Extension. --- Officers spoke with those involved in a harassment by communication incident in an effort to resolve the issue. --- Following a noise complaint, police checked the area but were unable to locate anyone or any noise. --- Those involved in a harassment by communication incident were advised to cease contact. --- An animal complaint was reported. --- Police received a call regarding the whereabouts of the Fugitive of the Week.
DuBois City The investigation continues in a hit-and-run accident Monday in the 100 block of Spring Avenue where a vehicle sideswiped another vehicle. --- On Monday, a Brookville man was arrested for allegedly trying to pass a forged prescription at Shenkle's Pharmacy. --- No charges were filed in a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend in the 100 block of South Franklin Street. --- Someone slashed tires and used a key to damage a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Locust Street yesterday. --- No one was home when someone entered a residence in the 300 block of South Highland Street through an open window yesterday. It is not known at this time if anything was taken.
Curwensville Boro A man pumped $27 of gasoline into a gold Ford Escort at Snappy's and fled north on Filbert Street without paying. --- Police responded to Park Avenue Towers June 12 to assist a resident who was having medical issues. --- On Thursday evening, a vehicle traveling west in Arnoldtown struck a deer. --- Rescue, Hose & Ladder Co. and police responded to a South Second Street residence Friday morning for an alarm. The alarm device was not located, however, the fire company tested the air quality. --- Following a burning complaint Friday evening, an officer advised an individual on burning restrictions.
State police at Philipsburg Yesterday, a 26-inch Giant bicycle with aftermarket add-ons was found at 124 N. Seventh St., Philipsburg. The owner can claim it by contacting police at 342-3370 and providing a description and possibly a serial number.
