Walking tour slated in Curwensville

CURWENSVILLE - A walking tour of downtown Curwensville will be held Sunday. Hildred Rowles, president of Curwensville-Pike Township Historical Society, will provide a history of the borough including information about its forefathers, geographic areas and buildings of historical significance.
The tour begins at 1 p.m. at Curwensville Veterans of Foreign Wars Robert Ferguson Post No. 842, located near River and Meadows streets, Curwensville. Those attending are asked to meet there prior to 1 p.m.
The tour is scheduled to take approximately two hours and includes a stop at Oak Hill Cemetery. It will end at the historical society's museum, the Korb House, 863 State St. The museum will be open from 1-4 p.m.
