The state Department of Transportation announces the following work schedule in Clearfield County next week, weather permitting.
Motorists should travel with extra caution in these and all work areas. Due to the nature of highway maintenance and emergency work, crews could be working on any highway at any time of the day or night.
Bridge flushing: Interstate 80, DuBois.
Bridge repairs: state Route 153, Rockton Mountain; SR 2024, Dimeling.
Drainage improvements: SR 879, Clearfield to Curwensville; SR 1010, Walton's Mountain; SR 2002 and SR 2005, Smokerun; SR 2020, Allport Cutoff; SR 2035, Munson; SR 2039, Grassflat.
Guide rail repair: SR 255, Bennett's Valley; U.S. Route 322, Watson Highway.
Manual patching: SR 2012, Faunce; SR 2051, Eagle Eye; SR 3002 and 3004, Patchinville.
Mowing: various routes in the county.
Shoulder improvement: U.S. 219, Grampian to Chestnut Grove; U.S. 322, Rockton to Lutherburg; SR 1011, Rolling Stone; SR 2016, Marron; SR 3030, Curwensville.
The following work is scheduled to be completed by a contractor, weather permitting:
SR 153, Penfield: constructing temporary roadway in preparation for bridge superstructure replacement.
