State police at Clearfield
In an act of criminal mischief Saturday, Ann Marie Sinclair reported someone damaged a power wire to the central air conditioning unit at her residence on Irvin Street in Irvona. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 857-3800.

Following a disturbance on Hillbilly Lane in Bradford Township Saturday at approximately 9:10 p.m., a Mineral Springs woman was arrested for public drunkenness and placed in Clearfield County Jail.

On Saturday at 3:40 p.m., a Leechburg man was traveling west on Interstate 80 in Graham Township when his vehicle struck a deer that ran in front of it. The driver and his two passengers were wearing their seat belts and were uninjured.

Andrew Brown of Clearfield reported someone used a key and kicked the side of his pickup truck, causing an estimated $3,000 in damage, between Friday and Saturday. The vehicle was parked at a camp along Kennedy Road in Pine Township. Troopers are seeking more information.

On Friday at 12:14 p.m., a 17-year-old Philipsburg boy was traveling south on state Route 253 in Woodward Township. A bee flew in the window and stung the boy on the leg, causing him to lose control or his vehicle, which traveled off the road and struck a tree. He was transported to Clearfield Hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries, and was wearing his seat belt. Houtzdale and Madera fire companies assisted at the scene.

Troopers are seeking more information after someone removed a trailer loaded with steal beams and tubing parked along State Park Road in Pine Township sometime between Wednesday and Friday. The trailer is red and black with its main deck shaped like a "V" with flat decks at the front and back of the main decks.

Yesterday, a St. Marys man was traveling east on SR 879 in Covington Township when his motorcycle struck a bear. He fell and slid on the road approximately 200 feet before coming to rest. He was wearing a helmet, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Clearfield Hospital for treatment. Karthaus Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance assisted police.

The known individual who reportedly sent harassing text messages to another individual was contacted by police, and the complaint was handled without further incident.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Friday at Poplar Avenue and Center Street in Plymptonville. A Clearfield woman went through a stop sign and her vehicle struck a vehicle driven by a Frenchville woman.

Officers contacted a man who allegedly made harassing phone calls and wrote harassing text messages to a woman and advised him to stop harassing her or he would be arrested.

Officers checked the welfare of a person in Hyde, where they located a man and determined he was fine.

A driver in Curwensville reported seeing a vehicle swerving all over the road, and officers found the driver suffered from a medical emergency.

Clearfield Borough police assisted officers with detaining an adult on probation and nine juveniles after someone alleged they were passing around a pipe and smoking something.
Seven of the juveniles admitted to smoking K-2 synthetic marijuana. The juveniles were all under the influence in varying degrees and were released to their parents or guardians.

Several Hyde residents reported someone burned materials that caused a noxious odor, but the fire was extinguished prior to police arrival.

State police at Philipsburg
Astrid Bordas of Philipsburg reported someone entered their residence between May 25-29 and removed several personal items, an Xbox gaming console, controllers and games. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 342-3370.

Harassment charges were filed against a Philipsburg man following an argument with a Philipsburg woman that turned physical along U.S. Route 322 in Philipsburg Saturday at 2 a.m.

The owner of a black and blue bike found in a wooded area near Chalet Park in South Philipsburg Friday at approximately 1 p.m. can claim it by contacting police.

Following a traffic stop for violations on Loch Lomond Road in Philipsburg yesterday at 1:15 a.m., a Philipsburg woman was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Joseph Shedlock reported someone removed the PA registration plate with No. YDE325 from his pickup truck while it was parked in the 100 block of North Fifth Street in Philipsburg between Friday and Saturday.

Between May 28-31, several items, valued at approximately $300, were removed from vehicles belonging to Jerry and Paulette Spackman while they were parked on Warwick Street in Philipsburg.

Someone entered Mortimer Electric's construction storage trailer between 3 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Friday along North Second Street in Philipsburg by cutting a window screen and opening an unlocked window. Once inside, they removed five 2,500-foot rolls of 10-gage copper wire; one 500-foot roll of eight-gage copper wire; three or four 500-foot rolls of 12-gage copper wire; two 250-foot rolls of MC 12-2 copper wire; and a Makita band saw. The total approximate value of the taken wire is $3,162. The investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to contact police.

State police at Rockview
During a sobriety checkpoint this weekend with troopers from Rockton, Lewistown and Philipsburg, 82 vehicles were stopped, with 15 traffic citations, four warnings, three DUI arrests and one other arrest. Additional sobriety checkpoints will be conducted and the public is reminded not to drive if they have been drinking or using drugs.
