Cherry presides at plea and sentencing court

Clearfield County Judge Paul E. Cherry presided over a session of plea and sentencing court May 30.
• Manuel J. Pichardo-delarosa, 20, 607 W. Locust St., York, was ordered to serve 15 days to two years less one day in Clearfield County Jail in addition to two years' consecutive probation on charges of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. He was fined $300 on each charge, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, complete anger management counseling, and have no contact with the victim or family. On summary offenses of harassment and disorderly conduct, he received a $100 fine on each charge.
On a second case of possession of a small amount of marijuana, Pichardo-delarosa received a $300 fine and was placed on 30 days' concurrent probation. On a summary offense of driving under suspension, he received a $210 fine and on summary offenses of disregard of flashing red signal, safe speed, careless driving and improper sunscreening, he received a $35 fine on each charge.
• Dennis J. Rauch Jr., 27, CCJ, was ordered to serve 12 months to three years in the Western Diagnostic Classifica-tion Center, Pittsburgh, on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, specifically cocaine, and criminal use of a communication facility. He received a $1 fine on each charge, is to refrain from the use of controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, complete drug and alcohol counseling, not own or possess narcotics or prescriptions for narcotics without first receiving written permission of his probation officer, and submit to DNA testing at a cost of $250.
On a second case of delivery of a controlled substance, specifically marijuana, Rauch received a 12-month to three-year state sentence concurrent to the first case.
• Robert A. Dixon Jr., 24, 993 Park Ave. Ext., Clearfield, was ordered to serve 90 days to one year in CCJ in addition to two years' consecutive probation on a charge of criminal conspiracy/delivery of a controlled substance, specifically heroin. He received a $250 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, complete drug and alcohol counseling, complete 50 hours of community service, not own or possess narcotics or prescriptions for narcotics without first receiving written permission of his probation officer, and submit to DNA testing.
• Justin Alvarez, 46, CCJ, was ordered to serve 60 days to one year in CCJ on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of small amount of marijuana. He was fined $350, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, and complete drug and alcohol counseling.
On a second case of defiant trespass, Alvarez received a $200 fine and was placed on one-year consecutive probation.
• Issac E. Miller, 27, 56 Judge Road, Country Place, DuBois, was ordered to serve 30 days to one year in CCJ on a charge of simple assault. He received a $200 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, complete anger management counseling, and have no contact with the victim or family. On a summary offense of criminal trespass, Miller received a $100 fine.
On a second case of simple assault, (two counts), Miller was fined $100 on each count and placed on two years' consecutive probation.
As a result of the previous convictions, Miller had his parole revoked and street time taken. He is to serve 90 days before being considered for reparole.
• Chris J. O'Connor, 52, 501 E. 10th St., Erie, was ordered to serve seven days to six months in CCJ on a charge of driving under the influence. He received a $1,000 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, complete the DUI School and a full drug and alcohol assessment, complete 50 hours of community service, and immediately surrender his driver's license. On a summary offense of driving under suspension, he received a $210 fine and on a summary offense of driving on roadways laned for traffic, he received a $35 fine.
• Dennis J. Ziegler II, 24, 670 Maxville Road, Curwensville, was placed on two years' probation on a charge of resisting arrest. He received a $250 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, and complete counseling as recommended by his probation officer. On a summary offense of disorderly conduct, he received a $50 fine.
• Stephen T. Freebourn, 33, Bucks County Jail, was ordered to serve 30 days to two years in Western Diagnostic Classification Center on a charge of bad checks. He received a $1 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, not own or possess checks or checking accounts, complete counseling as recommended by his probation officer and pay restitution.
• Sebert C. Macqueen IV, 24, 819 Main St., Coalport, was ordered to serve 90 days to one year in CCJ in addition to two years' consecutive probation on two counts of simple assault. He received a $250 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, complete anger management counseling, and have no contact with the victim or family. On two summary counts of harassment, he received a $50 fine on each count.
• Susan E. McIntosh, 38, 218 Hubert St., DuBois, was placed on two years' probation on a charge of retail theft. She received a $250 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, complete the retail theft program, not enter Dollar Smart in DuBois and submit to DNA testing at a cost of $250.
• Mickey L. Speidell, 46, 6722 Goldenroad Place, Fort Wayne, Ind., was placed on three years' probation on three counts of criminal mischief. She received a $300 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter Kohlhepp Just Ask Rental, DuBois, and pay restitution.
• Justin A. Dixon, 34, 967 Park Ave. Ext., Clearfield, was placed on one-year probation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, specifically oxycodone. He received a $250 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, complete a full drug and alcohol assessment, and complete counseling as recommended by his probation officer.
• John C. Hahn, 58, 41 Chesapeake Mobile Court, Hanover, Md., was ordered to serve 18 days to one year in CCJ on a charge of theft by deception. He received a $200 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not own or possess checks or checking accounts and pay restitution. On three summary offenses of bad checks, he received a $50 fine on each count.
On a second case of theft by deception, Hahn received a $50 fine, was placed on two years' consecutive probation and is to pay restraint systems. On a summary offense of bad checks, Hahn received a $50 fine.
• Melanie J. Hartman, 20, Clearfield, was placed on one-year probation on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $200 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, and complete drug and alcohol counseling.
• Tad J. Polites, 27, 117 Bellwood Road, Mahaffey, was placed on two years' probation on a charge of receiving stolen property. He received a $300 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, have no contact with the victim or family or enter their property, complete 50 hours of community service, not own or possess narcotics or prescriptions for narcotics without first receiving written permission of his probation officer, and pay restitution.
• David J. Shelley, 41, Big Run, was ordered to serve 45 days to one year in CCJ in addition to two years' consecutive probation on a charge of receiving stolen property. He received a $300 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, complete counseling as recommended by his probation officer, not enter FYE Music Store in DuBois and pay restitution.
• Michael D. Caskey, 34, 230 Park St., St. Marys, was placed on two years' probation on a charge of theft of leased property. He received a $300 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, attend counseling as recommended by his probation officer and pay restitution.
• Shannon D. Gladfelter, 35, 332 W. Fifth Ave., Clearfield, was placed on one-year probation on a charge of harassment. He received a $300 fine, is to refrain from the use of controlled substances, complete anger management counseling, have no contact with the victim or family and pay restitution.
• Sean D. Lechiara, 27, CCJ, was ordered to serve 60 days to one year in CCJ in addition to two years' consecutive probation on a charge of criminal trespass, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct. He was fined $600, is to complete anger management counseling, have no contact with the victim or family, pay restitution and submit to DNA testing at a cost of $250. On a summary offense of harassment, he received a $35 fine.
• Kevin A. Shirey, 54, 333 S. Brady St., DuBois, was placed on one-year probation on a charge of criminal mischief. He received a $200 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter Lange Auto and Tire in DuBois and pay restitution. On a summary offense of disorderly conduct, he received a $50 fine.
• Chasity L. Smith, 52, 90 Landoe Lane, Colorado Springs, Colo., was ordered to serve 90 days to one year in CCJ in addition to two years' consecutive probation on charges of procure for self/other drugs by forgery, and forgery. She was fined $300, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, complete drug and alcohol counseling, have no contact with the victim or family and not enter Shankle's Pharmacy in DuBois.
• Bradley Parks, 25, state correctional institution, was ordered to serve 90 days to two years in the SCI concurrent to charges being served on a charge of endangering welfare of children. He received a $1 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter bars or places that serve alcohol, have no contact with the victim or family, and attend counseling as recommended by his probation officer.
The following cases were continued:
• Brian M. Husted, 50, 125 One Mile Run Road, Philipsburg, charged with DUI.
• Matthew J. English, 26, 2211 Hawthorne Drive, Oakdale, charged with DUI.
• William J. Park, 47, Mount Pleasant Road, Penfield, charged with possession with drug paraphernalia.
• Jeffrey D. Shimmel, 52, 204 S. Fourth St., Clearfield, charged with possession of marijuana.
The following people withdrew their pleas of guilty and will be placed on the trial list for further disposition:
• Jeremy A. May, 30, 15 S. Highland St., DuBois, charged with false imprisonment and endangering the welfare of children.
• Lisa Ann Knight, 40, 207 Whestone Road, Brockport, charged with theft by deception.
• A bench warrant was issued for Heather L. Hepburn, 28, 12442 Bennetts Valley Highway, Penfield, for failing to appear for court. She is charged with retail theft.
