HYDE - The Clearfield American Legion baseball team won two games on the weekend.
The Chiefs defeated Mifflin County, 10-4, on Sunday and outlasted Bellefonte on Saturday, 7-6 in nine innings.
Kyler Kephart and Andrew Redden were 3-for-4, while Tanner Ogden was 3-for-3 with a double on Sunday for Post 6. Wyatt Westen pitched a complete game and gave up eight hits in the contest, while walking three and striking out three.
On Saturday, Andrew Redden hit a walkoff single to win the game for the Chiefs.
He was 3-for-5 on the day with two doubles, while Cole Kephart was 2-for-4 and Jon Janocko was 2-for-3 in the game.
Thomas Summers picked up the win in relief action for Clearfield.
Starting pitcher, Kyler Kephart, went 8 2/3 innings and gave up eight hits and four earned runs, while walking two and striking out five.
Post 6 improved to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the Central Penn League and visits Hollidaysburg tomorrow.
