Daily Police Log Thursday, May 17, 2012 State police at Clearfield No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Friday on state Route 970 in Osceola Mills Borough. Raymond Maines of Osceola Mills pulled his vehicle from a stop sign into the path of a vehicle driven by Harry Nelson of Philipsburg. --- The investigation continues after a Lumber City man reported someone stole five coffee jars containing approximately $45 in change while he cleaned his house along Church Street. --- No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident May 8 on Interstate 80 in Graham Town-ship. A Lake Ariel man lost control of his vehicle on the wet roadway, it traveled from the left lane to the right lane and struck the back of a New Jersey man's vehicle. Both drivers stopped their vehicles on the north berm a short distance from initial impact.
Clearfield Boro The investigation continues in a hit-and-run accident at CVS Pharmacy, where police know the vehicle that left the scene by utilizing surveillance video. --- In a trespassing incident along South Fourth Street, officers spoke to those involved. --- During a fight along South Second Street, a woman struck a man in the face several times. --- Charges were filed against a Tennessee man for theft by deception stemming from an incident in April. --- Police investigated a harassment by communication complaint. --- Officers handled a parking complaint along East Locust Street. --- Unwanted phone calls concerning threats were reported.
Lawrence Township The man who was reportedly soliciting money from shoppers inside Walmart could not be located. --- Police assisted a resident with verifying who owned two handguns. --- The investigation continues after police recovered stolen property from a burglary at an area business. --- Officers responded to numerous storm-related incidents throughout the township. --- Unwanted individuals reported at Walmart left prior to police arrival. --- The reported protection from abuse violation that occurred in Erie was referred to Erie Police Department. --- Someone called police in regard to a civil matter.
