Daily Police Log Thursday, March 22, 2012 State police at Clearfield Between 5:20 p.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. yesterday, someone stole copper wire and a Bushnell trophy camera from a sawmill off of Morrisdale-Allport Highway in Morris Township. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 857-3800. --- Children, Youth and Family Services was contacted to follow up on a missing person/runaway case in which a Curwensville boy who was reported missing returned home on his own yesterday morning.
Lawrence Township The vehicle reportedly weaving all over the road on U.S. Route 322 near Goldenrod was gone prior to police arrival. --- Clearfield Area School District officials filed a parking complaint when a vehicle parked in a non-parking space wasn't registered with the school. --- Someone took a canoe and a kayak from a Carbon Mine Road residence. --- A possible assault reportedly took place in Hyde. --- Police received a report of lost or misplaced property in the Family Dollar parking lot. --- A possible incident of driving under the influence was reported involving a motorist who was seen traveling on Lawrence Avenue in Hyde onto state Route 879. --- The owner of a green bike recovered next to Rails to Trails can claim it by contacting police at 765-1533. --- The owner of two Mirraco black BMX dirt bikes recovered along Rails to Trails should contact police. --- The investigation continues in a report of harassment between two known individuals along Supercenter Drive. --- Officers responded to a burglary at an area business in which the investigation continues and more information will be released in the future. --- In an incident in which someone borrowed an Access card and did not return it, police determined it was a civil matter and provided instructions on how to deal with a civil issue. --- In an act of criminal mischief along Antis Hill, a mailbox was damaged at a residence, but the homeowner obtained a registration plate number. The investigation continues. --- Police checked the welfare of a person at Budget Inn and found a Williamsport man was intoxicated and needed medical attention. Clearfield Emergency Medical Services were notified and the man was transported to Clearfield Hospital for evaluation. --- Following a report of a suspicious vehicle exiting Cumberland Truck Supply along SR 879, officers stopped the vehicle and found a Cummings Motors employee leaving the business. --- While on patrol, police checked a suspicious vehicle at the former Kmart building and found a Morrisdale man and woman inside the vehicle listening to music.
State police at DuBois Someone unlawfully used bulldozer rollers and scrap metal at a mine site along Keller Road in Brady Township between Friday and Monday. --- Mark Ferko Jr. of Falls Creek was transported to Altoona Regional Health System for treatment of moderate injuries following a one-vehicle accident on township Road 345 in Brady Township. He lost control of his motorcycle while attempting to negotiate a curve, it left the road and crashed into a culvert and a cluster of trees. Brady Township Ambulance assisted at the scene.
DuBois City Following a report of a possible DUI incident Tuesday at 9:04 p.m., officers observed a vehicle strike a curb multiple times, initiated a traffic stop and arrested the driver. The investigation continues in drug violations against two passengers. --- During a reported disturbance in the 300 block of Rumbarger Avenue Tuesday, police made contact with the alleged victim, who said she was kicked in the face by a known woman who left the scene. She told officers she did not want to pursue charges against the woman at this time. --- Yesterday at 1:18 p.m., officers arrested a man along West Long Avenue for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he staggered onto the road in front of a police vehicle, causing an officer to stop immediately to avoid striking him. The man then stood in the middle of the road and made an obscene gesture toward the officer.
