Clearfield YMCA Sharks wrap up regular season against TyValley

The Clearfield YMCA Sharks wrapped up their regular season on Saturday when they hosted TyValley.
Michael Spencer, competing in the 11- and 12-year-old division, led all swimmers with four events (50 free, 200 IM, 100 free and 50 back).
Claire Mikesell added three wins in the group (50 free, 50 fly and 50 breast), and Jessica Matten chipped in with two by claiming the 200 free and 100 free. Jadon McDermott (50 breast) and Lydia Opalisky (200 IM) each had a win under their belts.
Lauren Conrad led the 13- and 14s with three wins, taking the 200 free, 50 free and 100 free. Wyatt Flanagan touched the wall first on two occasions (50 free, 100 free), and Krystal Wriglesworth (200 IM), Jordan Lehman (100 fly) and Kara Thorp (100 breast) each brought home wins.
In the 200 free relay, Conrad, Lehman, Thorp and Wriglesworth picked up a win.
In the 15-18 division, Jordan Mumma (50 free, 200 IM), Alex Fisher (100 free, 100 breast), Clairisse Peterson (200 free, 50 free) and Rena Fisher (100 fly, 100 back) each won twice. Kraig Peterson (200 free) and Tori Hallstrom (200 IM) also added wins.
Luke Mikesell claimed first-place finishes in three events (25 free, 25 fly and 50 free) in the 8-and-under division. Isaac Swanson (100 IM, 25 back), Tabytha Malloy (25 free, 50 free) and Makeeli Redden (25 back, 25 breast) each earned two victories.
Elliot Thorp (25 breast) and Karli Bietz (25 fly) rounded out the individual winners in the division.
The Sharks also won both 100 medley relays. Swanson, Thorp, Mikesell and Justin Maines won the boys race, while Malloy, Redden, Bietz and Karter Bell took the girls race.
Chase Bietz (50 free, 100 IM, 50 fly) and Paige Conrad (50 free, 50 fly, 100 free) brought home three wins apiece in the 9-and-10 group.
Alex Coval (50 back, 50 breast) and Paige Mikesell (100 IM, 50 back) earned two victories, and Harrison McMillen (100 free) and Talitha Narehood (50 breast) each picked up a win to their credit.
Coval, McMillen, Bietz and Tate Swanson won the boys 200 medley relay, and Mikesell, Narehood, Conrad and Sydney Coval won on the girls' side.
Clearfield travels to Hollidaysburg on Saturday for the championships.
