State police at Clearfield Justin Barr of Port Matilda reported someone entered a Stone Street residence in Osceola Mills between Jan. 23 and yesterday and cut all the copper pipe from the waterline and left the water running in the basement. Also, the person responsible removed copper from the heating system, which left no heat at the residence. Damage is estimated at approximately $300. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 857-3800.
Lawrence Township Two different scams have been reported in the area. The first involves a free giveaway program where personal information is requested and the second is from a man claiming to need help accessing a deceased man's bank account. --- The investigation continues in the fraudulent use of a credit card at several locations in the area. --- Officers received reports of a deer in the roadway on Krebs Highway and Litz Bridge. --- Reckless driving and disorderly conduct were reported at Walmart. --- An accident was reported on U.S. Route 322. --- A possible fraud was reported when a package destined for New Hampshire was delivered to a Clearfield woman. --- Police are investigating a possible sexual assault. --- Officers notified the state Department of Transportation after garbage created a traffic hazard. --- Individuals in a vehicle on Hogback Road were found to be in possession of open containers of beer.
State police at DuBois The investigation continues in an incident of forgery and tampering with public records involving a forged court document. The person responsible attempted to gain personal property from another with the forgery between December and January. Sandy Township Officers and the fire department to a Santa Lucia Road residence for a possible structure fire Jan. 26 and found everyone had safely exited the building. --- On Thursday, police responded to Country Place Trailer Court to investigate the unauthorized use of a vehicle. Someone removed the vehicle from a driveway and left, but the vehicle was later located on Quarry avenue where the person of interest, later identified as a Brockport man, wrecked and abandoned it. --- In a burglary at a seasonal residence in Treasure Lake Thursday, The front door was forced open, but nothing was reported missing. --- An act of criminal mischief was reported Friday. --- Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call on Hand Street and found everything to be OK. --- Juveniles who reportedly set off fireworks on McLane Avenue were gone upon police arrival Friday. --- A Florida man was transported to DuBois Regional Medical Center Friday following an accident in which he attempted to cross Maple Avenue with a companion and was struck by a vehicle driven by a DuBois man. --- The investigation continues in an incident of harassment by communication Saturday. --- In an incident of unlawful entry Saturday along Eastern Avenue, someone removed prescription and a small amount of money. --- Officers are investigating a hit-and-run accident Saturday at Walmart when a white van, which police obtained a registration number, reportedly struck a parked black sport utility vehicle, then fled the scene. --- On Saturday, a Penfield man reportedly trespassed at Walmart after being given notice not to enter the store. --- Following a disturbance along Forrest Avenue, a man left after officers arrived. --- Police assisted a Treasure Lake man with a medical emergency Sunday by calling for assistance. --- A domestic dispute was reported at Country Place Trailer Court Sunday.
