Clearfield Pool Sharks face off against TyValley

TYRONE - The Clearfield Community Pool Sharks traveled to Tyrone on Saturday to face TyValley, a team comprised of swimmers from Philipsburg and Tyrone.
Isaac Swanson (8-and-under), Michael Spencer (11 and 12), Claire Mikesell (11 and 12) and Tristin Broad (13 and 14) each recorded four individual wins for Clearfield.
Swanson claimed the 100 IM, 50 free, 25 back and 25 breast, while Spencer won the 50 free, 200 IM, 100 free and 50 back. Mikesell was tops in the 50 free, 200 IM, 50 fly and 50 breast, and Broad won the 200 free, 50 free, 100 back and 100 free.
Earning three wins apiece were Tabytha Malloy (8-and-under), Paige Conrad (9 and 10), Lauren Conrad (13 and 14) and Rena Fisher (15 to 18).
Malloy was first in the 25 free, 50 free and 25 back, and Paige Conrad claimed the 50 free, 50 fly and 100 free.
Lauren Conrad touched the wall first in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 breast. Fisher picked up wins in the 50 free, 100 fly and 100 back.
Multi-race winners included Luke Mikesell (9 and 10), Chase Bietz (9 and 10), Alex Coval (9 and 10), Jadon McDermott (11 and 12) and Jordan Lehman (13 and 14).
Mikesell earned wins in the 50 and 100 free, Bietz in the 100 IM and 50 fly, and Coval in the 50 back and 50 breast. McDermott won the 200 free and 50 fly, and Lehman followed suit with wins in the 200 free and 100 fly.
In the 8-and-under group, Justin Maines (25 free), Elliot Thorp (25 fly), Karli Bietz (25 fly) and Emily Williams (25 breast) each garnered wins, while Paige Mikesell (100 IM), Sydney Coval (50 back) and Brittany Shaw (50 breast) won the in the 9 and 10 division.
Lydia Opalisky also won an event, as she took the 50 back in the 11 and 12 group.
The Sharks also had success in the relays, winning five on the day.
In the 8-and-under group, Maines, Thorp, Ty Dixon and Leif Hoffman won the 100 medley relay, while the girls also won the event with the tandem of Malloy, Williams, Karli Bietz and Josie Narehood.
Alex Coval, Harrison McMillen, Chase Bietz and Luke Mikesell won the 200 medley relay in the 9 and 10 division, while Ashley Collins, Lindsey Hand, Shaw and Talitha Narehood won the 200 free relay in the same group.
Lauren Conrad, Lehman, Kara Thorp and Krystal Wriglesworth rounded out the relay wins with a victory in the 200 free relay in 13 and 14 division.
Clearfield will host Ridgway on Saturday. Results
