State police at Clearfield
The investigation continues in a theft that occurred Saturday at a Chestnut Street residence in Madera when a Philipsburg man reportedly removed keys, valued at $25, belonging to a Madera woman.

Four people were injured Saturday in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 in Pine Township.
A Perkasie woman was traveling east, lost control of her vehicle while attempting to pass a vehicle in the right lane, it traveled into the median, struck a ditch and overturned.
Clearfield Emergency Medical Services transported the woman and her three passengers to Clearfield Hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.

Andrew Holloway, an inmate at the State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale, was charged with possession of a prohibited offensive weapon yesterday following an altercation involving five inmates in the dining hall. He was placed in the restrictive housing unit, where officials determined he had a toothbrush that had been modified into a shank-type weapon.
The investigation continues.

In separate incidents, police assisted EMS on North Second Street and with a person who had fallen on Fulton Street.

In a hit-and-run accident last night at Walmart, a vehicle struck a vehicle owned by a Kersey woman, which left a white paint transfer.

State police at Punxsy
John Kessler of DuBois suffered minor injuries Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle while attempting to negotiate a curve on U.S. Route 119 in Big Run, it rotated and struck a utility pole.
Kessler was taken to DuBois Regional Medical Center for treatment; however, a passenger, Judy Kessler of DuBois, was not injured.

John Bakaysa of Mahaffey reported someone shot and killed his 6-month-old brown and white purebred Boxer between Dec. 12 and Friday in a wooded area off Ridge Road in Burnside Township.

Jacob Moyer of Westover suffered minor injuries this morning when he lost control of his vehicle on state Route 3001 in Burnside Township, it left the roadway, rotated and struck a telephone pole.
Moyer was taken to Miners Hospital. Westover Fire Department assisted at the scene.

State police at DuBois
No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident Saturday on I-80 in Pine Township when a New York woman was driving too fast for conditions, lost control of her vehicle, it rotated, traveled off the road, struck a tree and overturned.
Neither the driver nor her passenger, a New York woman, were injured.

Morris-Cooper Regional
A large group of people along Troy Hill Road reportedly watching two juveniles fight was gone when police arrived.

While on patrol in Grassflat area, police observed three juveniles throwing snowballs at vehicles as they passed by and spoke to the parents.

The investigation continues in a report of harassment by communication in which a known DuBois resident has been sending test messages to a Morrisdale resident.
State police at Philipsburg
Xing Dong of Brockway was traveling south on SR 350 in Rush Township Saturday at 7:20 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and it slid off the roadway and struck a pole.
She and her passengers, Hao D. Lin of Brockway, a 6-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy, escaped injury.
Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.

Five people were injured in a head-on crash Friday at 9 p.m.
Kierston M. Bell of Philipsburg was traveling north on Powder Magazine Road, failed to stop at a stop sign and her vehicle collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Michael L. Conrad of Morrisdale, who was traveling east on U.S. 322.
Bell and her passenger, a 17-year-old girl, were injured, along with Conrad and his passengers, Zachery C. Josefik and a 17-year-old girl, and were transported to a hospital.
Hope and Reliance fire companies of Philipsburg, Moshannon Valley EMS of Philipsburg, Mountain Top Ambulance of Sandy Ridge and Clearfield EMS assisted at the scene.

On Thursday between 7:30 a.m. and noon, someone forced their way into Melissa J. Torres' home along Reese Hollow Road in Port Matilda and took a checkbook from a desk drawer.

Linda L. Fravel reported someone broke into her home along Farm Lane in Worth Township Tuesday and removed various gift cards and a jar of coins.

On Wednesday between 11-11:30 p.m., a Philipsburg man smashed out a window at the Philipsburg House laundry room with his fist.

An 18-year-old man was found to have a small bag a leafy green substance, believed to be marijuana, while he was on school property.

Charges were filed against a 22-year-old Madera woman for reportedly harassing a woman at her home in Philipsburg.

The investigation continues after a 9-year-old Philipsburg boy reported he was sexually abused by a known person between Jan. 1, 2006, until Dec. 31, 2008.

Following a traffic stop on North Street in Port Matilda Thursday at 5:40 p.m., a 58-year-old Lewistown man was found to be under the influence of alcohol, and he falsely identified himself to police.

On Friday at 4:30 p.m., a 46-year-old Philipsburg woman received a harassing phone call from an unknown person.

Between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 6:45 a.m. Saturday, someone entered David L. Crain's unlocked vehicles along Hemlock Street in Rush Township and removed a small red Maglite flashlight.

John Duprez of Morrisdale was arrested Friday for simple assault and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Carmen Prestia after an argument with a Philipsburg woman turned physical. He reportedly struck her in the face with an open hand and began to choke her.
He then shoved her, struck her in the face with an open hand and began chocking her.
Duprez shoved a man before punching the glass from a window and started flinging his blood at the alleged victims' faces.
Duprez fled, but was apprehended a short time later.
