State police at Clearfield Today at 4:10 a.m., a one-vehicle accident happened on Interstate 80 in Lawrence Township when a New York man was traveling west, lost control of his vehicle, it struck an embankment and overturned. The driver and a passenger suffered minor injuries. --- The investigation continues in a two-vehicle accident yesterday on Shiloh Road in Bradford Township when Michael Jury of Grampian was traveling south. His vehicle entered the path of a vehicle driven by Ronald Bumbarger of Woodland. Jury attempted to swerve back into his lane, but his vehicle struck the other vehicle head-on. Jury and Helen Bumbarger, a passenger in the second vehicle, were taken to Altoona Regional Health System, and Ronald Bumbarger was taken to Clearfield Hospital. --- On Tuesday, an Irvona woman and a Fallentimber woman were charged with harassment following a physical confrontation in the Minit-Mart parking lot in Coalport.
Lawrence Township The U.S. Secret Service has been notified of $140 in counterfeit $20 bills that police recovered. --- Officers assisted with a disabled vehicle. --- A person who was driving recklessly also did not have a license. --- One individual was transported to Clearfield Hospital following a three-vehicle accident on state Route 879 at the intersection near Walmart and Sheetz. --- The investigation continues in the reported theft of prescription medication from a Hyde resident. --- A domestic incident was reported in Hyde. --- Police checked the welfare of an Antis Hill man and found everything to be OK.
State police at Punxsy On Wednesday, someone gained access to a Ridge Road residence in Burnside Township by forcing open the locked front door and removed a PlayStation console with two controllers and three games. It is believed the person responsible placed the items in a small blue duffle bag and fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 938-0510.
State police at Philipsburg On Wednesday at 1:35 p.m., a 14-year-old Philipsburg boy left a threatening message on a 14-year-old Osceola Mills boy's cell phone outside Philipsburg-Osceola Area Junior High School. --- An emission sticker reported missing or misplaced at Hank's Auto Sales in Julian Oct. 16 was found following an audit.
