Curwensville man sentenced
Thursday, December 03, 2009

A Curwensville man charged with burglary in Pike Township in October 2008 was ordered to serve a lengthy period of incarceration in Clearfield County Jail.
Yesterday, Clearfield County Judge Paul E. Cherry ordered Jeffery A. Ullery to serve nine months to two years less one day in CCJ on a charge of burglary. He received a $1,000 fine, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, have no contact with the victims, submit to DNA testing at a cost of $250 and pay approximately $1,500 in restitution.
Ullery was charged by the Pennsylvania State Police after they investigated a burglary at the victim's residence on two occasions. On Oct. 2, 2008, Ullery admitted to going into the home through a "doggie door" by taking the door off its hinges. When inside the residence he did remove several Percocet tablets from containers and then fled the scene. He returned to the home Oct. 4 and removed more percocet tablets.
Ullery was interviewed by police and he admitted to committing the crime and stated he did it for his own use. He said he had a problem with prescription medication.
