State police at Clearfield The investigation continues into a burglary that happened between 4 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. yesterday at BiLo in Decatur Township. Someone used a ladder to gain access to the roof, cut a 3-foot-by-3-foot hole in the roof to enter the building and used a saw to cut open a safe and remove an undetermined amount of money. --- Robert J. Fulmer of Clearfield was arrested for burglary Thursday after he gained access to a Curwensville apartment and removed electronics, clothing, money, jewelry and other household items, valued at approximately $1,000. Fulmer then loaded the items into his vehicle and fled the scene, but was later apprehended at his residence. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland and lodged in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 straight bail.
DuBois City Officers, along with Sandy Township police, will conduct a highway safety checkpoint in the DuBois area over the holiday weekend. Motorists are encouraged to drive safely and obey all traffic laws.
State police at Philipsburg On Thursday, an accident happened in Philipsburg when a vehicle was turning from Locust Street onto Front Street, went through a flashing red light and was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Front Street.
State police at Ridgway Two teens were flown via medical helicopter to Altoona Regional Health System Thursday for treatment of injuries suffered in a one-vehicle accident in Fox Township, Jefferson County. A 16-year-old Brockway girl was traveling north on state Route 153 when she lost control of her vehicle, it left the road, struck a guide rail and several trees and overturned. It came to rest approximately 35 feet east of the road in a wooded area. The driver and a 13-year-old passenger were airlifted, while Dalton Dickey of DuBois was transported to DuBois Regional Medical Center. Fox and Horton townships and Penfield fire departments, and Ridgway and Fox Township Ambulance assisted at the scene.
