Police search for armed fugitive

DUBOIS - The search continues for a fugitive from justice who fled from police during a traffic stop yesterday at the Reynoldsville Rest Stop on Interstate 80 in Jefferson County.
According to state police at DuBois, the man fled on foot from the westbound rest stop. It is believed he is armed and dangerous. The 36-year-old man is described as 5 feet, 11 inches, tall, approximately 185 pounds, with blonde hair. He was wearing a tan Carhart-type jacket.
Motorists are warned not to pick up hitchhikers or stop vehicles for anyone. The rest stop remains closed and troopers believe the eastbound rest stop could be closed as well.
Residents are asked to be cautious and to watch property.
