Clearfield mayor unseated by Schell

Perhaps no race in Clearfield County was watched as closely as the race for mayor in Clearfield Borough between incumbent Patty J. Gilliland, who's recent disagreements with borough council put her, and the election, in the spotlight, and James P. Schell. After a hard-fought campaign, the winner was Schell with 838 votes compared to Gilliland's 690.
