State police at Clearfield
Between 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday, someone removed 27 bundles of brown G.A.F. shingles from outside St. Agnes Catholic Church on Deer Creek Road in Morrisdale.
The church is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.

Troopers will provide a sobriety checkpoint in Clearfield County this month.

April Albright of Morrisdale reported a gray 6-month-old miniature horse with a blonde tail, valued at $500, went missing from a Winburne-Munson Highway location between Saturday and Monday.
A reward is being offered for its safe return. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 857-3800.

Yesterday, troopers investigated the death of a Clearfield man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Vaughn Carter Jr. and Kayla Wetzel, both of Philipsburg, were charged with simple assault yesterday after the two pushed, hit and kicked each other at a Chester Hill residence.

Officers concluded their investigation into the armed home invasion of an elderly Glen Richey couple.
Two more people of interest have been arrested and arraigned, including a Vandergrift man and a Clearfield woman. Last week, police arrested a former Baltimore man in the case.
Preliminary hearings are scheduled for all three next week.

Police checked the welfare of an out-of-state couple at a local hotel and everything was fine.

Officers assisted emergency medical services in checking the welfare along Washington Avenue.

Willie, a yellow lab, with either Williamsport or Lycoming County tags, was reported missing in the Butler Road area.

State police at DuBois
Following a traffic stop for violations on U.S. Route 119 in Winslow Township, Jefferson County, a 27-year-old DuBois woman was arrested for driving under the influence.

Jon Nussbaum of State College suffered minor injuries Friday when he lost control of his vehicle on Interstate 80 in Sandy Township, it crossed the left lane, struck a guide rail and slid into the median.

Police observed a vehicle containing four men who were spotting game on Sher De Lin Road Saturday after permitted hours. The men were uncooperative after the state Game Commission was contacted and two were cited.

On Sunday, a Treasure Lake man reported someone took several bottles of water and a bag containing a pricing book, valued at approximately $400, from his work truck overnight.

Someone removed a radar detector, valued at $100, from a Treasure Lake man's vehicle Sunday.

A Treasure Lake man witnessed several juveniles attempting to dismantle his tree stand Sunday.

On Monday, a Garden Grove resident reported someone entered her residence and took several items.
No signs of forced entry were seen, despite the residence being locked.

State police at Philipsburg
Christopher Mayhew of Curwensville and Shane Valence of Philipsburg were arraigned on charges of theft, receiving stolen property, access device fraud and forgery after they were apprehended at the Harbor Inn in Philipsburg yesterday.
According to police, Mayhew and Valence are accused of stealing several items from numerous vehicles in and around Philipsburg Borough and Decatur Township between 9:30 p.m. Monday and 9:30 a.m. yesterday. Police said one of them also stole a debit card, which they also used.
Additional items were located in a separate location. Anyone who may be a victim and had items stolen from their vehicles during the listed time frame is asked to call Cpl. Corl at 342-3370 to identify their items.
